Any power gains with ARH headers?
i have a 2016 z06 a8 have bolt ons... 18%lower halltech cold air corsa xpipe... trying to get some extra power... I hear people say power gains from headers then I hear no... doesn't anybody have my similar setup and is there any proven power gains in the dyno or at the track with hi flow cats??? Any info would help thanks.

Same setup as you but with meth and headers... lose a pound or two in boost but you still gain air flow and power. I'd say it's worth about 20-25whp and a great sound. N

I will be able to tell you as soon as I can gt the car on the dyno at 21st Century Muscle Cars. It has been tied up ever since they did the header install several weeks ago. My scheduled free time sucks .........

I'm basically in the same situation. My car is in the shop. I'll post some results as soon as possible.

October 10th. I'll have before and after dyno sheets.
I have my ARH Jethot coated 2 inch catted headers waiting for my tuner to install and tune them for 6 months.
I think your shop has no idea because I have installed headers myself
on the Corvette's that carry the about the same exhaust and found headers are great addition. ESP on Supercharged Engines
I'm expecting 25 or more from this set with plenty of rise more under the curve . Very far from no gains
Guys been around here for years all know this is true.
I'm on Corvette number 9 and 3 have had headers and superchargers.
All gained nicely from headers.

There's a good breakdown on the site, i think Florida Speed did it... Breaking down the gains of the aftermarket headers. ARH/Kooks/LG I think they did. Texas Speed always claims competitive numbers at reduced prices. I recall ARH making more power through out the entire power band compared to all other brands.

Waste your money if you want. I'll keep my shop. The stock manifolds flow well enough for anything under 750 at the wheels.
I love how none of you actually know facts, but discredit any idea that isn't the same as yours.

I did headers on my c6z, and they helped only after I did cam and heads.
My c7z Bolton makes 726/757 without headers. If any gains are to be had from headers, they'll be small and not worth the $2k plus install.

Everyone's free to spend their money however they see fit. A waste to me is a axle back exhaust. Facts show every install of these aftermarket headers yield more power compared to the stock manifolds.

Safety Car
Headers are great, I picked up approx. 1 whole second & 10 MPH with just a set of 1 3/4" headers, a home made from a stock air intake CAI and a DiabloSport 93 octane "canned" tune on a 2010 GS 430 HP LS3. (check my "Public Profile" GS modified time against the present day GS "stock" 1/4 mile record holder i.e. my time.)
If you go by the old rule of thumb that it takes 10 HP per tenth or 1 MPH that's 100 HP. WOW!!!
However on a blown application unless the exhaust system is "restrictive" headers usually do "little" to improve performance. The reason for this is due to the engine having air under pressure "forced" into the combustion chambers so the "tuned" effect of headers adds little.
PS: I have read posts where people have actually lost HP by just adding headers without a tune and a "dyno tune" was needed just to recover the lost HP and maybe add a little some-thin.

My car is just a healthy build. I made more than most with the same mods.

Headers DEFINITELY worth power on mine (with tune). Be SURE to insulate all wires well, even if tucked up as far as possible. They WILL melt otherwise. Ask me how I know?

If you are in the Dallas area, find a different shop. They are full of crap. They are trying to sell you on not needed products. My base C7 picked up both hp and torque with the midlength ARH install. You are more than free to have Matt @ 21st Century pull up my before and after dyno pulls. In fact, there is a thread in the C7 tech section with all the numbers posted.

Excuse me ............ It seems you are the one in denial. Many of us have realized gains with simple header installs. I want my powertrain warranty to stay intact. I highly doubt yours is.
