100 octane GM tune

I think G-Speed and I are the only two that have actually sought to purchase the tune. G-Speed gave up and I'm about to do the same. I have been hounding my local stealership, with no success, so now I'm going to open a GM Service Complaint. You would think that when you buy a $100K car from GM store that you would be able to buy performance parts for it.
We have not given up yet. The car is still at the dealer, but we will have to pick it up tomorrow, as Mike plans to run the car thursday.

Will this offing thread EVER contain real info about the tune being offered or just endless babble by self proclaimed experts... Keep coming to thread looking for a SINGLE piece of real world info regarding this tune but instead its page after page of Higgs arguing with others about what they believe and NOTHING about the real product or its true impact... Sigh.. There used to be relevant info posted in these forums now this is the new norm...

Chevy released its 2017 performance catalog:
http://viewer.epaperflip.com/Viewer....02c2c#?page=44
On page 43 you'll find the 100 octane tune.
Nothing we didn't know already.

I arrived at Sema late this afternoon, and drove my new Z I might add, (crossed the 500 mark as well), and grilled the remaining chevy guys that were still there about the 100 octane tune.
One of the guys made a call to the actual Tec who wrote the calibration, and said to come back tomorrow, they would give me the skinny...

Thanks.........I have a Stage-1 to install but just haven't decided to install it yet. It would have been very beneficial if you could have gotten a before/after run.

I know!! and wish I had, but I put my intake on right before the TX Mile and did not have a chance to take it to the dyno beforehand.

I'm a bit tired, but here are a few things he said...
-The 100 octane is NOT in the 17s, and is not compatible with the 17s, it is only for the 15 and 16s...
-he confirmed what some have said, the 100 octane tune will simply delay/slow down the timing being pulled due to heat from IATs and coolant, provided the knock sensore and such are behaving due to the presence of high octane fuel.
-He said that they completely updated the calibration in the 17s, and seemed VERY confident that the bigger bricks in the intercooler would work much better, and that the rate and degree to which timing is pulled on the new Zs is much less.
-I pressed him why he was so confident, and he confirmed MASSIVE testing was done in HOT conditions, including their own testing grounds and nuremberg, and the intake air temps were controlled much better with the new design...
-I then asked why we don't have an official time for Nurenberg, and he said to ask Tadge...
I've got a little more, it was over an hour conversation, but that's it for now.

OK, Had a VERY good and long chat with a gentleman from chevy today, who was very much in the know...
