Does anyone prefer the C6 over the C7?

To be honest I like the back of the C6 better but I have a 2016 C7 Z06 with the stage 3 aero kit, and it's my first Vette.
I really don't like the front of the C6 though, I actually prefer the front of the C5 and the C2 is my over all favorite. In Elementary school I watched a C4 blacked out drive past my school and I realized realized in 4th grade that the Stingray was my favorite car of all time, that has never changed.

The C6 design was more flowing and organic, think DB9.
The C7 design is more mechanical and abrupt, think Aventador.
I like them both from an appearance standpoint but they represent two completely different design philosophies.

I owned a '13 GS at the time GM unveiled the C7 and I thought the C6 rear end was far better looking. I've since owned a '16 Z51 and now I own a '17 GS and I think the *** of the C7 looks better, however it is in part due to the aggressive stage 2 spoiler.

Love my 16 Z. I really enjoyed my 2006 Z for many years. The C6 Z just looks dated compared to the new car. That 427 was a great motor, especially between 4,000 and 7,000 RPM's.
Hard to beat the midyears. Had this 65 for 45 years. The old 327/350 horse is quick but feels like a slug compared to the new Z.

I was driving my 16Z yesterday and in my rear view mirror saw a cyber grey C6Z... I simply don't think the Zs have the presence the C6Zs had as they were wide and short. Overall the C6 gen vette do look a bit dated but that's expected as we have something new to stare at.
I do have a feeling that the C7s won't age as gracefully as the C6s have though...

C6Z look great to me. A few exterior mods and they look better than the C7 to me.

After forty days of owning my C7Z, I do absorbingly miss my modded C6 GS. The ugly rear of the C7 just cannot match the wide body C6. I shoot myself for trading up (but I quite literally feel I traded down).

Thanx for all the great pics, guys.
FWIW...
The C6 seemed dated to me during the last few years of production...the world of car design had passed it by.
Being as it broke from tradition by ditching the hidden headlights, it was a real looker initially, but time keeps marching along and a more radical vision was needed for the C7.
I think the C7 will age well.
Its been around for a few years now and still looks unique and exotic.
Not many have ditched their C7 for a used C6.

c6 vs c7
I had a 2010 Z06.
When the C7 came out I said I would never own one, because I did not like the rear end style. It looked like a Camaro.
But that look grew on me and I traded for a 2016 AW and think it is a far nicer car than the C6.

My wife, a Porsche design fan, has thought Corvettes were just OK-until the C7. The first time she saw a C7-the words out of her mouth were "Wow-someone from Ferrari designed that". And she meant it in a positive way. But back to your question-I loved the C6 when it came out-I think the C7 is a big leap forward. And I get the round tail light controversy-if asked prior to seeing a C7 I would've been one to say-"you can't do that-Corvette tail lights have to be round". The one thing about the C7 rear that does bother me is the black lower rear facia-I think I would make it the same color as the body.

C6 = Round, Bubble design.
C7 = Chiseled, knife edge design (my preference!)

C7 Z06 and Grand Sport are the best looking Vettes ever. Even the Stingray is the best looking base Vette ever. Profile is stunning. Front is race oriented and stunning. Back is the only part that isn't a 10.
My C6 Z06 is a great looking car, but I drool everytime a see a C7.

At first I really hated the c7 styling but it's grown on me. Seeing it in person really helped. However I'm still afraid all it's plastic vents and choppy lines are going to make it age really fast as opposed to the classic c5/c6z lines.
