I had to take mine off also. Would hit when the spindle turned

Thanks, Bill, I will check mine with the car on the ground.

Hey Everyone, I recently upgraded my 2017 GS for 17 Z06 and I received the brake duct kit from cultrag. My question is (and I did read through the thread) that this is my daily driver and I dont drive far to and from work but I do like to take my car to a track day or autocross now and then, Could I just install the ducts and leave them in without any problems? I never really have enough time to install and remove things like that because I live in the world of extreme last second.

In the instructions it says that removing them may help them last longer but not that you must remove them.

Did anyone use a heat probe or similar device to measure if it makes a noticeable improvement?

I'll be honest, on my GS with Hawk DTC-60s and Cup 2s, I have NEVER had any brake overheating issues, even at the end of a 30 minute session. I know that cooler is better, but at a certain point you might get the pads out of their sweet-spot.

It does not come installed. But the dealer will be more than happy to do this for you for a fee. If you are able to jack your car up and pull off the tire you can install them yourself it is very easy.

Yea there was some mention on another thread I cant remember where I saw it but some people it came with and others it did not. I did not get them with my GS or Z06 so I just purchased the ducts and wheel blockers from Cultrag.com it was like 100 bucksish for both.

The track brake duct package is $75.60 and we received some yesterday and 10 more today. We can reorder if necessary.
Has this been discontinued? I only see at kit for $234.

Default Where to order?

Where can we order the kit? I want to install on my 2016 Z06.

However, I was looking through the owners manual. Pages 170 thru 174 discusses the new "Front Brake Cooling Kit" included as standard equipment, as least on my 1LZ M7. I don't know about cars with CCBs.

In my earlier post I was wrong when I said the car came with rotor protectors. They are actually "Wheel Blockers" designed to work in conjunction with the new ducts to improve cooling of the front brake rotors.

I'll let the owners manual description take over from here....

so I installed these and the ducts for a couple of track days. I am wondering if I can just leave them on, as it’s a PIA to pull on and off. Any information on that?

I can't use the wheel blockers because my track wheels are 18" in diameter and the blocker won't fit inside the wheel. However, I leave the other plastic parts in place since it is a PIA and because constantly taking them off and on will eventually damage them or the bolt holes where they mount. Mine have been on my car since 2017 with no noticeable ill effects from leaving them on when driving on the street.
