You can stumble on some interesting conclusions when you follow the stock market. Here's a car story that's about us Boomers....what do you Z06 boomers think?

Funny but I was under the impression that car sales in general were down across the board. Tried an suv and it lasted all of 6 mos. When it hits the point that egress to a Vette becomes an issue, I'll opt for an ATS V.

Motoring was popular in the old days. That means a lot of folks were participating in the way people always flock towards fads.
I'd like to believe today only the true enthusiasts participate. It's not a fad anymore. Some of it is because we're not into buying things in general as much. That's a good thing. Some of it is because we can't afford it. The average individual in early 30s has a net worth under $10k. Some it's due to environmental concerns.

Ford is shutting down F150 production for a while to reduce unsold inventory. This economic expansion is finally flattening and even inflecting. Let's hope it's a nice, soft landing.

As a member of the bingo set, I play in a rock band and drive to the gigs in my Z. Mick and Keith are the same age as me. So keep on rockin' and keep the pedal down.

40000 corvettes sold in 2016 and a third of them were z06 s..
More corvettes. Sold in one year in a couple of decades...
The author is off his rocker.

Young people don't have money. It's not that it's cool to not buy cars. What's cool is just a reaction to what's reachable and or available to young people. So it's cool not to own a car so you can afford to do other things.

I love Corvette. I hope it sticks around for a very long time, but there will be much more challenging times ahead with respect to capturing and maintaining current sales figures. I don't see how they do after their target market individuals become too old to drive or too old to drive sports cars. That day is fast approaching.

I attended the Cadillac V-Lab (1 day V-Series event) at Lime Rock Park yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised that the majority of attendees were Gen X-er's (ages 36-51) with probably 20% in the 30-36 range and 25% being Baby Boomers. Since the age demographic for Cadillac cars is even older than for Corvette, I look at that pretty positively - especially when one considers the 1-day event cost $995.
On a negative note, I hope we don't get a V6 turbo Corvette - the ATV-V is a fantastic car, but the turbo lag is still noticeable - something the 6.2 LT1 at the same hp level doesn't have.

THIS.
V series cars I have seen usually are driven by someone under 60.

What I see around here is old people in German cars, not Caddys.
