I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum, but I've been searching like crazy and haven't found what I'm looking for either. I had an APR spitted on my C6 and it was high quality. Any direct comparisons between OEM, ACS, and APR? I'm not sure if the OP is looking for the whole package, but anyone do just the larger splitter and stage 2 spoiler? I'm undecided on side skirts
Picked up or ordered all the parts for changing my Z06 from aero 1 to aero 3.
Roughly $2K into it for:
- front splitter $455 (acs)
- under tray $92 (GM)
- winglets $250 (GM)
- side skirts $700 (C7 carbon fiber)
- wickerbill sides $142 (GM)
- wickerbill center $159 (eBay)
- wickerbill bolts (4) $83 (GM)
- carbon flash paint kit $75 (Automotive Touchup)
I haven't installed the ACS splitter yet as I have to paint it. The side skirts are a must to keep rock chips down. The aero must work or GM wouldn't have done it. I plan on running HPDE's with and without it.
BEFORE AFTER
When it's all done the front splitter will look like this.
I have a 2016 Z06 stage 1 and want to know if anyone has thoughts about the ACS splitters compared to the GM in Carbon Flash. Thanks
I wont be able to compare about others, but can share a few things on the ACS parts.
Our parts are manufactured in RTM composite, using an OEM validated process, same process we validated while supplying GM parts. From a cosmetic standpoint parts are identical in shape. We have developed our own under-tray system which is much more aero efficient and stronger than the GM counterpart.
I hadn't considered the side skirts keeping rocks from hitting the panels. It makes sense. My big hang up was if the parts were purely cosmetic or actually functional. Awesome. I'll be contacting you guys shortly to order, I support forum vendors whenever I can.
Awesome video!

Do the ACS pieces use the exact same OEM mounting holes? If I damage a factory splitter and replace with with an ACS composite, will all the rivet and screw holes line up the same?

Yes, I had called the company ACS in Canada and they said that the hole pattern was the same as the OEM pattern. Talk to Joe from ACS to verify
