Help me decide: White or Silver 3LZ Z06/Z07
I recently sold my 2010 ZR1 and I'm about to purchase a 2016 Z06, 3LZ with Z07. I just can't decide between white and silver. All things being equal (except one has red stitching), which one would you choose? I've had a few Corvettes but never white or silver. I spent a lot of time cleaning my Black ZR1 because it seemed to accumulate dirt, even in the garage! This time around I want to get one that I won't have to worry about looking dirty as soon as I pull it out of the garage. This will hopefully result in me actually putting a few more miles on the car. My last 2 Vettes sold at 6 years old with less than 7K miles! The Career Marine in me has made me particular about cleanliness unless I'm living in a fighting hole in some far off place....
I'm interested in your thoughts and input.
Thanks!

With that said, white is my favorite Z06 color, but it's also the most common color.
Whatever color you do get, it seems the folks here love their PPF (paint protection film) + something like CQuartz, most state how easy it is to keep the car in showroom condition

As you know, both colour selections - white or silver - will be easier to maintain. I like both. My eye finds that silver can be more flattering to the lines of a car in particular light.
White, as noted, is very popular and might be an easier resell down the road but that doesn't increase your ownership pleasure.
Being particular about your car's appearance, I'd be checking paint finishes in person for smoothness of paint quality (no/less orange peel). I find silver to be a less forgiving colour for orange peel appearance.
Enjoy your new car!

Silver. I see way too many white Z's now. My last two vettes were black. You will love how you can actually not wash your car for a couple of weeks and not go insane. I love my shark grey for that reason.

There is no "3ZR" option on the C7Z. That nomenclature was strictly for the C6 model ZR1 cars. The cars your referring to are 3LZ units.
I have my own opinion about silver cars and most folks wouldn't understand unless they actually knew something about automotive paint. However, the silver would look really nice if it has a full Stage-3 Aero kit on it. The white car looks comparatively the same (not as eye catching) and will be easier to maintain.

I like both of those and I have had silver but I always seem to notice some blotchiness in the silver but I currently have a white with red guts and it really pops!

Silver. It will always look clean and it hides scratches best. Additionally, it seems everyone has a white ZO6. Spectra rims on silver look fantastic btw. Just throwing that out there. I saw one in silver with spectra no too long ago and it was beautiful. Much better than black rims IMO...and I am not a black rim hater.

I've had white and it does not shine. Sorry it just does not and I use all the popular products. For me since you asked white and silver are "Buick" colors and attract an older crowd. With that said they do look the best they ever will on a C7.
You're looking for ease of maintenance the silver wins hands down. White gets dirty faily quick too.
Unique to the corvette is the fact you can accessorize the color scheme. You can offset a lot of the silver with hood stingers, wheel colors and a interior color. You won't see a Buick with torch red leather interior and a transparent top.

Another vote for silver with spectra wheels. Great combo.

Silver... hands down.
Unless the white is a special model or limited for some reason (friend has a 1 of 27 Twilight blue design 16 artic white Z06) it's just run of the mill.
they're very nice buy like has been said in this thread THEY'RE EVERYWHERE.
silver has a low production number. that's cool to show up and NOT be like everyone else at an event gathering or show.
I would have loved to grab a silver Z06 but there weren't any in Mike's inventory that weren't spoken for and I wanted to ake advantage if the 20% off so ordering was out. I was lucky to grab a shark gray that is unique.
go with the silver you won't regret it. in all regards the silver were least made (and NRB)
As you can see silver Z06 lowest of all specialty packages and that carries throughout even regular production number cars.
Good luck post lots of pics we all LOVE PICS
ps. when car designers want to see their designs they choose Silver as it is the one that most clearly and visibly shows the lines of the car therefore enhancing their "design" to show off to their bosses . saw that on an automotive roundtable TV show regarding the C7 of all things in 2013.

In general, I've never been a fan of white cars, but the Arctic White color looks great on the C7 and especially on a C7Z with the added Carbon Flash aero components and larger spoilers. For some reason where I live (SW FL) I don't see too many Arctic White Z06s. Rather I see a lot of Torch Red.
For me, Arctic White works best with louder interior like Adrenaline Red or even the Spice Red design package. Jet black with red-stitching also works, but is more subtle. The white paint offers the best canvass to customize the car to your liking as most interior colors, trim, wheel designs, etc. match up well.
Silver looks nice and I like it better than the darker grays as it shows the C7 lines very well. However, silver is probably one of the hardest to match up if you ever need a paint touch up and historically, GM has even had a hard time with it in matching up the flakes near panel seams.
Either way, you really need to see all colors in person as online pictures don't do the colors justice.

Silver looks meaner which matches the look of the C7.

Silver looks great on the new Z06 but be careful of paint quality. I had a Blade Silver C6Z and it looked great. The only problem was that in just the right light, it looked as though it was painted by throwing paint-filled balloons at it. Very uneven and blotchy. I believe it's called mottling and is more prevalent on lighter metallic colors like silver. I've seen it on more than one Corvette and it can really look bad. Like I said, silver looks fantastic on the C7Z but check the car carefully in different lighting situations before making a decision.
BTW, Semper Fidelis.

Hands down white. White with a CF roof and Hood insert, with spectra grey or black wheel = bad*ss!!
Silver is possibly the most boring color available on the Vette...Silver with a grey interior is not terribly desirable. Sure there are less silver cars...but that doesn't necessarily make it better.
Truth is, get the one that you like.

Silver by far. Really highlights the lines of the C7. And don't worry about the paint. In July 2015 the plant changed the way they apply silver and the metallic lays very uniformly. Stunning really.
White is nice but there are so many white Vettes they are quite commonplace. Not a bad choice either way but it's silver for me.
