WORST experience with HATERS
I was recently driving on the 91 freeway in Orange County, CA (one of the rare times I have to drive that Crappy Nightmare of a freeway) and I had a couple of encounters. First was a Hippy Bernie Sanders supporter (I know this from all her bumper stickers) lady that kept trying to get up next to me and when she finally did (in bumper to bumper traffic) she motioned for me to roll down my window. When I rolled it down she proceeded to drop some serious F-bombs on me about me being a 1%er, and all the pollution I was creating and the size of my manhood. I just waved and said "Thank you" and drove off. Second was about 10 minutes later a Dodge 3500 diesel came by me with him middle finger hanging low out the window and loaded his exhaust and smoked me out.
Of course those few stupid incidences are HUGELY outweighed by the AWESOME encounters I have on almost a daily basis!!! Just curious as to any of your guys encounters?
Ok while I am typing my BEST encounter was a 6-7 year old little boy in a gas station. His mom was filling in the pump in front of me in a large jacked up Ford Excursion. I could see him hanging out the window looking back at me and the mom was totally cool telling him to wave at me and I waved back. Then he was pestering his mom to get him out so he could look at it, so she did. I lost sight of him and the next thing I know is he is behind me peeking around my pump. I said "hi little buddy", he smiled and said hi. As he walked around with a HUGE smile on his face I ask if he wanted to see and sit inside (his mom was right there kinda laughing thanking me) she said he and his dad saw me last week in the car and he had been talking about it all week. He sat inside and was like a kid on Xmas morning. Afterward he thanked me and mom reminded him to shake my hand and then I got in and started it to leave and when it fired up he started jumping up and down with his arms up. It was AWESOME.
I get this a lot in the Fire Engine, but off duty this was super cool. Also, to add a little background Mom was pretty smokin and seemed super down to earth and they didn't appear to be hurting for money.

Very strange! I usually get the thumbs up on the 91 or any other freeway (unless I cut someone off ). I guess you just had bad luck.
It happened that I live off the 91 freeway in OC and never had such encounter. Also OC is more of a republican county (not that it matters )
The freeway is a nightmare during rush hours and most people will have zero tolerance regardless of what car you drive.

Some people are just pissed about life. When they open up their mouths you immediately realize why they haven't been successful. I used to get pissed (which is what they want) as I get older I immediately recognize these people. When I become the target of their belligerence I normally just laugh.
We all have opportunities and struggles. I've certainly had more than my share... but I have made the most of every opportunity and always tried my hardest to turn adversity into opportunity. I believe in karma.. well.. the idea.. you get what you put out.
I have to tell you that if that women would have tried that with me I would've pushed in the clutch, thrown it into track mode and drowned the sound of her voice with the sweet sound of Z06!
I've got more than my share of hobbies / interests and by far the Corvette folks are the coolest crew out there.
I'm not bragging.. more like validating my mindset... I had to battle an entire City and a corrupt Police Dept after I was nearly paralyzed in an on duty car accident. Not only am I back in great shape, but I own my home, am married to an AMAZING woman who supports me in whatever I choose, own a 2015 Z06, a 2009 500rwhp Duramax, and a 750k home on 11 acres in the TN mountains that I will move to when I graduate with my PharmD. I'm 36 years old. I wouldn't have thought this was possible if I hadnt lived it. Buying the Z06 was the moment I finally said to myself "good job man..."
Most people will never get there and that is due to their decisions and refusal to face challenges and set goals.
When I drive by the Police Station I used to work at it love how people just stop and stare. They know who I am and what I went through... and they know I won...

It was 3-4 years ago, but I had a woman come up to me at the gas station and say "What are you compensating for?"
I said "I don't know, but it must be tiny, because this car is AWESOME." and went about my way.
I still don't know if I won that one or not, but since I wasn't really concerned what she thought about my genitals, I figured it was OK.

I haven't had any real bad encounters that I can remember in recent times. Mostly get thumbs up, kids jumping up and down, and people admiring the car. I don't consider those who roll up to me and try to race; I view them more like a car enthusiast who loves speed.
But as a member commented early, I had considered carrying...years back when I owned a BMW, ironically that car attracted a lot of bad attention, and witnessed a lot of hatred, or angry folks who were looking to take their life frustrations out on me. I was an easy target I guess. Situations like that can get out of hand rather fast.
Rarely, but I have come across maybe one episode where a gentleman was upset and was sizing me up and getting aggressive. Pure *******. Those kinds are people have serious issues and are the only types that make me think twice and consider carrying. There are some really angry, insecure, jealous people out there looking for an opportunity to take things out on someone when given an opportunity.

My friend did shut him up by running 8 sec a lap faster in his Z06. Moral of the story:
Thank you Tadge for making the Corvette great again

I have a standard reply to anybody that say"s something negative that looks to be a result of envy.
"Did I say something that made you think I give a F--K what you think?"
Of course, I'm 6'3" and 245 so it may not work for everyone. lol

Funny I got crap once from an old guy at would you believe a Corvette show. He had a Stingray and gave me crap about why I needed 650hp.
So 460hp is ok? I wonder what the cut off was.

Considering most of the citizens in your state voted exactly the opposite of you, you should be considering moving to Mississippi or somewhere where your views of 'left wing loons' can be savored and appreciated.

I only get postive feedback mainly from grown men with the ol thumbs up. And of course the young kids who love "flashy" cars.
Maybe they reserve their negatives because of my size and pigment

The only times I have been embarrassed is when someone asks me what the car costs.....this from people that couldn't afford a $25k car never mind what these cost.....I usually ask them how much you think, they say about $60k and I just smile and leave it at that.....
I havent had anyone give me a hard time about the car, usually just WOW, that car is cool....
