Looks all business, form follows function. It appears GM learned that half measures won't suffice cooling a car that spends time on track in summer heat. I'm thinking the new Eaton 2650 rotors will be under the hood.

That hood is interesting and seems to have a cowl induction flap or relief by the w/shield? Sure, NOW they decide to allow more airflow at the bumper area w those two extra openings. quite interesting for sure.....certainly not a mid engine! Zora?

Wouldn't it be wild if this was the 2018 Z06 and not a ZR1?!

Great point to consider....makes more sense than ZR1 moniker on car with a wing.

There's ton of sh*t in the trunk...but it doesn't look like a motor to me.

Same as we saw on the C6 ZR1 mules, so are the little sensors on the rear bumper.

I can't see them doing a mid-production run facelift after only 3 years, that would be a first. With the 17 updates for the cooling, I'm thinking that's as far as they take it. Could be wrong.

To me it just looks like a Z06 with a big spoiler for downforce. Probably a tweaked LT4 under the hood with 750 horses.

Read the part about the new Eaton 2650 rotors.

http://www.corvetteonline.com/news/n...nus-heavy-camo

""This leads us to another piece of hearsay: will the new ZR1 have the next generation of Eaton supercharger on it? We got our hands on the new TVS R2650 at this year’s SEMA show and were told that the unit would not be available to the aftermarket until it had debuted on the production vehicle it was originally slate for.

This lead us to the logical conclusion that the next-gen ZR1 will, in fact, be the vehicle to take the wraps off of Eaton’s new blower, which seems more than likely considering GM’s storied history with the brand. The new 2.65-liter huffer should be capable of supporting well north of 800 horsepower—which means a new and improved direct injection system is most likely in the works to support all of it as well.""

Something to consider....
