I like the cleaner look of the Z51 spoiler but it is not wide enough for the Z06 so I have the stage 1.

The Z51 on the Stingray, and the Z06 on the Z06. The OEM Z06 spoiler on a Stingray is too wide, however, there are aftermarket Z06-style spoilers that properly fit the Stingray and look better IMO.

Z06, no bias.

It is hard to say as the Z51 is on a stingray and the Z06 is on the Z06, both look good on the cars that they are on. With the red taillights the shorter red spoiler blends nicely with them, and on the Z with the clear taillights that emphasize the black trim they really look good on it. Just for the sake of conversation if someone wanted to take the time to swap the spoilers on the cars with photoshop or other software it would be a better comparison.

A photoshop would be interesting but if somebody wanted to actually make the trade I don't think it would fit. The Z06 is wider in the back. With more curved sides. I do like the more blended look of the Z51. The spoiler on the Z06 almost looks aftermarket IMO. Red tail lights looks pretty good too.

Overall, I think the ZO6 air dam style 3 level wicker bill is too much of a racer boy look with it's generic base spoiler that has the three different wicker configurations. Knowing that the ZR1 has gone to a way more efficient wing, only indicates that team Corvette realizes the aero compromises of a air dam style spoiler at high speed. I would think that team Corvette would design a level 1 rear spoiler that is much more integrated in it's looks like Aston Martin does with their cars. Eliminating the bolted on look, gives a more sophisticated style that moves the level 1 car to a powerful GT look.

Reason: the Z06 spoiler is hanging too far over the edge of the car. Below is how the Z06 spoiler fits on the Z06 (both Stage 1 and 2), which is why I commented that the Z51 spoiler looks better on the Stingray, and the Z06 spoiler looks better on the Z06, unless you go with an better fitting aftermarket version...

I could be wrong, as the picture on the bottom isn't clear and I cannot see the lower vents very well, but I say that both of the above cars are Stingrays... the lower car just has the Z06 clear taillights installed.

A more integrated level 1 rear spoiler would give another option for the ZO6. Stingray has a body color high wing style spoiler that integrates quite well thats on their accessory list. Maybe the designers could do a high wing style rear spoiler for the ZO6 that matches the aero specs of the current level 1 spoiler.

Here's a post of mine from a couple years back with a Z51 and Z06 side by side, shot from the same (good) camera on the same day. Plenty of opinions posted there too:

If you look carefully, the physical non-spat portion of the front fender on the Z06 actually is slightly wider and more flared on its own even before adding the plastic spats. Combined with the wider rear fenders, it gives the car a slightly more enhanced "hourglass" figure.

They're pretty much optimized right from the factory for the car that they are intended for (just saying). The Z06 phase III style spoiler produces quite a bit of drag in exchange for all the added down force for track purposes. I thought I read somewhere that it ultimately accounts for 25% of the car's drag(?). I'm assuming that meant at track speeds. But if you just intend on driving on the highway the Z51 spoiler is probably plenty. The bigger spoilers DO look cool (maybe a phase II?) but adding a larger one where it isn't needed just adds drag. I've asked the same question - get a contrasting black spoiler or keep the body colored one?

No question...ZO6.
