What day will they reveal the new ZR1?
I am guessing the press conference will be held on the Jan the 12th in Detroit. What do you guys think as far as which day the reveal will happen? Big Wing DOHC naturally aspirated glory... Counting the days... From all accounts a true no compromises track car seems to be in the offing... naturally aspirated, massive downforce without the drag of current setup, proper cooling, possible carbon fiber wheels? All carbon fiber body? WE WILL SOON KNOW.... THE NEW KING OF THE HILL COMETH... ALL HAIL THE KING
I will track my 2016 Z07 until the new car is released this fall... We will find out if all this comes to pass in under two weeks...
My guess for starting msrp 109k

I think a HP bump like callaway numbers. And the new A10. Bigger wing, bigger hood/bumper vents.
That's all i can foresee really.
I think the C8 is when they'll do the DOHC v8 mid engine deal.

Maybe GM will release some info in Jan and possibly do a press / media gathering at the track soon after.
Laguna Seca calendar shows that GM have booked the track from March 14th to March 17th. Maybe they will tune the new ZR1 for Motor Trend future test
I really doubt that GM would put an automatic transmission in a high HP track oriented car given what we all know now. They already said A10 doesn't fit in the current chassis and the ZR1 to me looks more like a modified Z06.

... and the date of the Ring time will be released, oh forget about it.
There is so much that's good about the C6 Z06 and C7 Z06 and a few things left hanging out

The 2018 will have a larger supercharger and much improved cooling....that is obvious from the pics.
What it will be called is secondary.....Z06 or ZR1 really doesn't matter.

I'm merely posting that to make sure there are no false expectations. We might see something interesting. We might not.
