Default 3,000 mile check in, fresh dyno and street pull video!

So I'm right at 3000 Miles on my 2017 Z06 with the Z07 Package. Here are a few observations, and a current breakdown of what I've done with the car so far...

SUPER happy with the car overall!!! I have yet to drive on the track in 95 degree heat, but it did just FINE at 75, NO issues start to finish, maintained decent temps, and HP was SPOT on from the first to the last lap.

I'm having all ball with it in the mountains, truly feels like you are on rails, handles GREAT!

I've been on the road course twice, but have yet to do any 1/4 mile or runway events but will get to both soon enough.

I'm not quite ready to give up warranty yet, so here are the basics mods I've done so far.

-West end alignment and corner weight
-Granatelli Expansion tank
-Custom instal on extra radiator with spal fans for air to water aftercooler
-Socal porting ported TB
-Billy Boat X pipe
-MMS catch can
-Alky Control Meth kit
-Halltech Intake with tric
-Granatelli MAF
-Torco

Just a bit more info on the Halltech, and I STRESS, this is MY experience, and we all know that the 17s got a new computer calibration, some say it's less forgiving...
Once I hit close to or around 6K in forth gear, I will throw the P106 code, it does not happen as soon with the Granatelli MAF, but now that I have the ported TB and X pipe, it also happens with his as well.

I do not pop the code on the dyno, only on street pulls. Until I tune, I'll switch back to the stock intake most of the time, especially on road course days... Also, for me, the car went just a bit lean on the dyno with the Halltech, before we turned on the Meth, then it was just fine. Funny thing, made the same power once we fattened her up with Meth.

I will say I made a RIDICULOUS amount of power over the stock intake this last time on the dyno, and won't even post it, due to the certain ridicule I will receive.

Anyway, I've got the Cordes Racing pulley sitting on my bench for now, but may play around with that and the stock intake and meth soon!!

Got out the other day to test and play with the car a bit, this was with the Halltech and all the above mentioned Mods...

ENJOY!!

Please educate me on the Granatelli MAF. I'm not familiar with it on these applications.

Thanks

^^^^ I only bought it since it said it would help out with Codes due to aftermarket air intakes, which it did, but not entirely...

^^^Thanks. I had not heard that. I have a Halltech on my 16 Z06 and it's been working great with the stock MAF. I have also changed the cam, added headers and no cats cross over pipe, and changed both blower pulley's. It does have a custom tune, but I haven't had any ck eng lts pop up. Yours probably won't either once you get it tuned.

Nice, I've not heard of folks having issues with the Halltech and the 15/16 models, Again, I think it has something to do with the less forgiving tune on the 17s, tighter range on the Maf/Map sensors. I've only heard of one other issue with the same code as mine, and he had a 17 as well, and was also on the top of forth, doing the Mojave Mile...

I'm also sure the tune will fix it, but it will also fix my Warranty.

Apologies in advance to the OP, but to answer your question, the Granatelli MAF is the worst kind of snake oil. They claim 10-12 Hp gains...which they have been claiming for years.

$300 and you too can get 10-12 HP, no matter what corvette you own!

C5, C6, C7, C7-Z06, all 10-12 more HP

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

To a friendly dealer no, but once you touch the tune, it leaves a PERMANENT mark in the computer...

Thanks, I got mine for $225, and did not buy it for the power, but for the hope it might help with the code, which it did to some extent, but did not completely fix the problem, that would have to be done by a tune...

I will say I made a RIDICULOUS amount of power over the stock intake this last time on the dyno, and won't even post it, due to the certain ridicule I will receive.
ENJOY!!

Are you running Torco in the 17 ?

In EVERY tankful, otherwise she pulls about 5 degrees of timing, 64 RWHP on the dyno....
