If its an A8, much more is required. I would look at some of the vendor fixes on this site, like LG Motorsports super cool set up, Gspeed has a version and I believe TKIT from Germany is marketing another version. There are stories that GM has denied warranty claims for various reasons. It depends if GM thinks they have a strong argument that your particular mod caused the failure. There is a sticky on overheating that is way too long and involves a lot of discussions on non cooling issues. But it will get you started too. If you read the whole thing, you will probably get almost all of what is available plus some cool owner mods that have helped.

If you have an auto, your only option is a major alteration with the gspeed or LG cooling kit. Serious money and install. No more warranty.
If you have a manual, it's your lucky day. Buy the GM performance parts secondary radiator. It's a two hour self install job and you'll be all set.

There is a third option. Dewitt radiator, Dewitt intercooler with reservoir tank and Dewitt air to oil intercooler... Now my biggest problem is that the oil is too cold( never gets above 160) so I am adding a thermostat to the oil line.. The results seem very promising and I haven't had to cut the car up... And yes this works with my 15 Z06/ Z07 A8....

And do you have any pictures of the air to oil cooler installation?

The simple radiator and intercooler swaps did not fix the A8 cooling on track.

Are you sure its not IAT temps? My water and oil are normally stable and they only one I cant see is IAT so I have noticed that going up a gear when you can helps. I was hoping for the 17 IC Bricks to swap but Im told they dont so no fix for the IAT's without going crazy and Im not cutting up my front end and doing all that.

This so far has been on the street but I think it will make a significant difference on the track as well because it removes a large amount of the cooling from the radiator( as compared to the oil to water brick)..I will be back on the track in the next 1-2 months and we will see... It was as much as I could do without altering the front of the car or violating the warranty ( also did the Halltech CAI and TRIC as well as the GM 100 octane upgrade)

My cooling plan: (Texas summer drag racing)
1. Dewitt 70mm rad
2. Dewitt air to oil, oil cooler
3. Improved racing oil cooler 180 deg. thermostat.
4. LMR 160 thermostat.
5. If no other solution, tune to change cooling fan operation temps.

I thought the Dewitts system was track tested at Spring Mountain and was not successful in track conditions. Please correct me if that is not true. I believe i saw a thread where others tested the system and the improvements on the track were marginal.. Still, along with other mods, adding a Dewitts radiator has shown some improvement. We still don't know what the OP has done to the car and what track prep and conditions existed.

The dewitts is mentioned in the first post.

We have not had any cars go in for warranty, so we cannot say if it was denied, or not. Our system prevents the only catastrophic failures that these cars have seen thus far, which is the bearing issues internal to the engine, with high oil temps. (spun bearings, or rods failing)
If we can answer any questions, feel free to ask.
