How many are you waiting for the 10 speed?

You'll have to wait for the C8 Vettes. GM rarely makes radical changes to the drivetrain during the model year run.

The 2005 C6 had the A4. The next year it had the A6. The first year for the C7 had the A6 and the next year it had the A8. If GM is consistent they will put the A10 in next year and leave it until the second year of the C8 which will then get the DCT.

They have to put one in because you can't have ZL1's running them two years and not Z06's. Those guy's at Camaro forums have no complaints.
The sound and performance is incredible with those cool downshifts/upshifts at high RPM wow what music!

I don't use 5-7 now. Too much shifting.
Yeah, I think the A10 is enviable.

I'm sorry, but we will NEVER see the a10 in the c7. It will not fit the current car without a shorter torque tube and rear bulkhead modifications similar to what we do for 4l80 conversions. The a10 fits into other vehicles easier because they have a trans up front/diff in the rear and a driveshaft in between that can be shorter.

Actually it has not. Deliveries are just now beginning. It may be smooth as silk and it may hold up to the power, but we don't yet know that for sure. Also the tuning algorithms may be great and they may need tweaking like they did on the A8.

Does it have 3 pedals?

While I hope GM makes the A10 modular, it seems they would've made it modular from the beginning to save investment in new casting molds just to put it in the Corvette. I think it's unlikely to happen but I can still hope...

The A10 has a numerically high 1st gear similar to the A8 and 10th gear is slightly lower numerically than 8th gear in the A8. That means the gears are closer together and the huge drop in RPM between 4th and 5th gear are gone. The performance with the A10 would be significantly better than the A8 or the M7 no matter what race you're participating in.
