Nurburgring lap time

doesn't make any sense. C7 crushes a base C6 around every track. So why would the nurburgring be different? At a minimum they would've released that?
must be more to the story like at the time didn't seem important enough for this ONE TRACK IN GERMANY vs all others due to????
Plus, not to mention, we are never happy. If it ran the nurburgring faster but was slower in the quarter mile we would be bitching that instead. We are happy complaining about GM AKA Good (enough) Motors lol

This car could have been spectacular on that track BUT I suspect it suffered my it's engineering flaws - heat soak and pulled timing or an overheat caused the time to be not so impressive. So it was never released.
How can you market a car with a picture of the Nurburgring in the background without releasing a time?
Maybe we can put this in the ask Tadge question for next week...oh wait ...nvm...

Purpose built!
- They were selling cars.
- The car was heating up too much!?
- The Ring was shut down.
- The ACR was killing it.
- They are testing a car like never before - FI? - Auto - Aero!.

How'bout value Adding?
The ACR Viper may be really functional, but, its life has to be on notice. It's just too much, and it has no future! Active aero is value added though:

The ZR1's high/low wings and even its SC could just be test mock-ups. Active aero and even turbos (in the valley or especially in it!) would be the C7 into the future and Value Added!

Yep...
I've never seen haters/trolls flock faster to any other thread then a C7Z/Nurburging thread.... Its like chumming the water for shark fishing.
Whats funny is, 95% of C7Z owners couldn't give 2 ***** about a Ring lap record...hell most of them have never heard of Nurburging...LOL..
Drive and enjoy.....

I can't believe ANOTHER Ring thread was started.
Folks, it's over...accept it and move on.

Yep - Z06X in the right place tooo! ;)
http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2016/...06x-track-car/
(Probable one way or the other for 2018: 10-SPD, Cooling, Suspension, and Aero bumps; I'd be hating life, and worried, tooo!)
Some guys just don't seem to get what The Ring can be even to them. GM can validate a car like the tuners can't! Portions of their validations can then be purchased by anyone!
Jeez, Get a Clue! It's a Win - Win!

I confess that I just scrolled to the end of this thread because I presume the entire thing is a C6-gasm of people that don't have the car getting excited about the lack of a 'Ring time, like if there was a published time, and it was fast enough to impression them, they'd have one.

Talk about trolling all you want, I love my 2016 m7 Z07 but it IS a TOTAL embarrassment that they have not published a time. Good, bad, or otherwise, POST THE DAMN time. We ALL know that cooling problems caused the computer to pull timing and reduce power, We ALL know that along with the increased drag from the aero due to the decision not to go with a true wing, it probably did the car in as far as a good lap time was concerned at the ring, what we can't deal with is the lack of transparency....
As to the people who hate that this topic won't go away, consider GM's response, you will meet it VERY soon, it will be called the ZR1, it will have coolers, A LOT OF THEM, you will see a ring time and it will be good, VERY VERY good, you can bet the farm on that one... If you think they are going to let the new ZL1 Camaro steal the show (as they are currently doing, check latest motor trend video on it, that has specific references to the Z06) you are sadly mistaken... a new King of the Hill is coming, what angers many of us is that the Z06 was initially released with INSUFFICIENT cooling for the track, and, at least in the case of the 2017 model, has improved at least for the manual trans, (the auto not so much)
You guys can spout all you want about how the ring time doesn't matter, BUT IT DOES, which is why every major manufacturer goes there, don't let your insecurities about your car being threatened or 'bashed' as you like to put it cloud your judgement as to why the ring matters for serious sports cars, IT IS THE GOLD STANDARD BY WHICH WE EVALUATE THE TOP HANDLING SPORTS CARS IN THE WORLD - TRY TO GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK BALD HEADS... Go back to waxing your cars in your flannels, people whom want to DRIVE their cars and know what the car is CAPABLE of at the most demanding track in the world deserve an answer, but we will never receive one as far as the Z06 is concerned... Now the new ZR1... Well now, that is a horse of a different color.... They will be proud of that one, and you can bet your a@@ a ring time will be published...
I am off my rant now
