Default Porsche encounter, lack of self control

So, I need a little help. I was driving in traffic on Sunday when I spotted a Red 911 ahead. Soon after spotting him, he made a move through traffic and took off. I couldn't help myself, not that self control has ever been easy for me, so I maneuvered through traffic and quickly caught up to him and passed him. I don't think I broke 80mph at any time. My question is does anyone else suffer from these moments of lack of self control?

Yes, always, but when I get close to 90MPH the 1st time, I shut it down because I get visions of blue and red lights behind me. And that means expensive $$$ in court and insurance, and being super pissed/mad for 5 days straight. Not worth it anymore. There is always something faster than you on the road.

I might have years ago when street racing wasn't viewed like today. Now.... nope. Recently I had a Nissan GT - R come up behind me on the local interstate. As he went by he dropped a gear and stood on it. Whoop de do...

must be that I'm getting older or that i track my car but i haven't had the urge to race people on the street. in fact i think driving my car on the street has become boring and all i can think about is driving it on a track. i have been thinking of getting a dedicated track car, selling my vette and getting an old impala convertible.

Every time I accidentally go above 65 MPH, I drive straight to church and beg the lord for forgiveness.

A few years ago I was coming home from the IMSA race at VIR in my built C5. On the side of the road two guys were talking beside a black C6Z and a white Lambo of some sort. I waved and went on by as they waved back. As I headed home I was loafing along at about 65 in 55 mph zone. About 10 minutes later the Lambo goes by me doing at least 30 mph faster. I caught up with him and he took off even faster. Pretty soon we're well doing over 100 on a desolate country road. I stayed right in his mirrors the whole way. We didn't throttle back until the speed limit went down to 45. Finally, he went north and I went south at an intersection. He gave a thumbs up out of the Lambo's little side window as he turned.

There wasn't another car on the road the whole time. We did pass by a farmer on his tractor in the field beside the road. He's probably still telling his buddies the story about the two cars wailing by his farm at a buck twenty-five.

I came around a tight right hand turn and saw a GT3 right in front of me and no one else around. I passed him doing about 130mph and didn't let off until about 150mph. He didn't let off either until we both needed to slow down for 14a/roller coaster.

It's pretty much the same as me having no semi-auto rifles cuz of that unfortunate boating accident I had where they were all lost. . . .

Which was a darned shame.

3 things happen every time I get behind the wheel of a great car
1) I regress to 14yrs old
2) horns grow out on my head
3) commun sense goes out my butt
I've been roadracing for 16yrs by now and I know better, but sometimes if you can't make it to the bathroom a tree will do

It's pretty simple...
IF going fast is a problem for ya, get a Corolla...you'll be much wealthier in the long run (notice I didn't say richer).

As long as traffic and weather is permitting it is GAME ON..
I do not swerve in and out of traffic or do it when congested, But if the road is clear ahead its go time
