Default 2016 Z06/Z07 quirks

What the F#%* at 1652 miles on the odo, memory seat work intermit, transmission shift with a clunk at hard execelleration (8 Speed Auto)seat cooling work intermittently, breaks pulled hard to the left at high speed stop or at 20 mph, supercharger rattling like two squires fighting each other for nuts, all this come about after the dealer replaced my tires, updated softwares during the recalled.

The engine overheat in stop and go city traffic. Taken it down to the dealer for them to investigate, by the way my oil life is at 20%, had the 500 miles oilchanges in September of 2016, only driven on weekend in nice weather (never in foul weather. I think Chevrolet need to make it and fix the issues of overheating and others BS quirks.

Purchased May 10, 2016 New
2016 Z06 3LZ with Z07 Packages
Laguna Blue 8 Speed Automatic
Ceramic Coat Paint Protection
1652 pamper miles

What do you expect us on this forum, SPECIFICALLY and WITH DETAILS, to do for you? Stop pampering it and drive it. 1600 miles a year in Florida? Or sell it. Perhaps a Z06 isn't for you.

Sounds like the C7 Z A8 has some quality control issues. Sorry to hear that.

For what it is worth, my car has a bunch of quirks as well. Heated seats don't work for a damn, still working out the intermittent throttle lag (hopefully this new ported TB helps), cup holders are completely useless, my seats never stay or go back to where I set them, PDR video should be better quality for what I paid for it. Still waiting on Tadge to come through on the overheating issues (I am not holding my breath though). Probably other things. So I hear you on what you are saying. It is annoying. You should keep on the dealer for any issues that are clearly a problem, but some/most of it we will probably have to live with, like most things. Overall though I love the car, and I guess that is what matters most.

Thank you for your service. Without men like you I wouldn't have the opportunity to complain about my rapidly depreciating $100k toy.

The memory seat problem is a pain. Try this. Reset the Easy Exit position and make sure it is 1 inch in front of the all the way back position. That all the way back tends to cobble up the sensor. Been there had that happen.

A8. I only get that when I am deceleration to a stop. And it only happens if I have not driven the car in a long while. If I am driving the car several times/week it is smooth as silk. Go figure.

Never tried the seat cooling, but getting a butt blow job is never on high on my priority list. <g>

Pulling hard to the left on both a hard and slow stop needs to go to the dealer for a fix. As does the SC rattling.

Good luck.

FWIW I love my 3LZ Z07... there are some paint issues but good god damn! Its f-ing amazing. I know i should expect more for my money but I don't care. If I did, i would've bought something European. (Read Porsche not BMW) ... my service allowed me to get here too but it doesn't matter. All the various debates about value are moot. Love your car or get one you do. I say again... i love this car!

Sorry you're having issues with your new Z. Can you elaborate on the "overheating" in traffic? They are designed to run warm at in traffic. There is a big difference between say 220 degrees in traffic and actually overheating.
It almost sounds like your dealer did not reset the oil life monitor when he did the 500 mile oil change. You should not be down to 20% this quickly. My 2016 has had no issues. It's a terrific car. The supercharger should not be rattling.

Good luck with the dealer.

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your Car. I had one of your problems and I believe someone here already suggested leaving your seat about an inch from all the way back on exit. Once I figured this out, I didn't have any more problems with seat programming. I have a friend that owns a 2015 Z06. At 3500 miles his supercharger seized on him. Initially is sounded like someone threw a handful of ball bearings in a washing machine. The supplier forgot to put any lubricant in the Supercharger before shipping to GM. Good Luck with your car. Keep us posted.

Good luck with the dealer.
It turn out that they not reset the oil life monitor, dealer agreed to do another oil change to make it right, after 50 minutes of stop and go traffic, temp reading around 220 degrees, with messages in dash 'Action Required, Engine Overheating, Idle Engine' .

Got my baby back from dealer today, the oil changed at no charge and not count against my next oil change, they also check all issues listed and found no abnormality but it's noted if future problems arise they will take care of it, by the way my dealer also a Corvette Certify Service Tech Trained. Over all I am very satisfied with the out come. The tech also said that he relearned the wheel sensors what ever that mean, maybe it's me but I noticed the ride and steering is more stable and smoother👍
