Some pics from the racetrack at the NCM
Just my second time out at the NCM with my new Z07, thought I would share some pics...
SPECIAL THANKS TO JERRY OAKS (AND JIM PAINTER FOR THE CONTACT) FOR PERFORMING AN AWESOME TRACK ALIGNMENT, GOT THE REAR CASTER (AND EVERYTHING ELSE) SORTED OUT... Also thanks to Gerry at CW4L for the beautiful AR1 Forgelines in brushed clear for the stock Cup 2 tires, way lighter, much more open design then stock, significant reduction of unsprung weight and they look beautiful. Katech provided the titanium open lug nuts.. If you haven't been to the NCM I highly recommend it, you can see my college age student with me in some of the pics going for a few hot laps with the old man, lol.... By the way, temperature was 82 deg on Sunday the day I ran, I have the GM secondary cooler installed and the new for 17 brake ducts, car performed flawlessly, I also had the GM high octane tune installed and used Torco all day running about 100 octane, no loss of power due to heat with the new tune and octane boost, I recommend it.... Keeps the computer from pulling timing thereby reducing power, with this tune and the torco (or 100 race gas at the track if you don't want to bother with adding torco) you will keep all 650 galloping HP....

Thanks for sharing the great pics! You have the wheels I'm seriously considering buying - I really like the clean, open looks of the AR1 wheels.

Great pictures, Tony. Good job. See you in a few weeks.

One more convincing image that the car becomes transformed into the coolest Corvette with simply putting stripes on it. The narrowing on the stripe in the front optically 'stubbs' or shortens the nose just right.

OUTSTANDING!!!
I love your tag - "TRACK IT"
Thanks for the pics - any link to PDR video of a couple laps??
The NCM Motorsports Park track is really a great track - I think I'll try to get back there for the NCM HPDE in Aug. Just a little more than a month remaining until my next track event at the NCM HPDE at VIR the end of June.

I am slow lol....
Thanks. The car performed flawlessly, my driving leaves a lot to be desired, LOL. The track at the NCM is technically challenging, my best lap of the day was only 2 minutes 24 seconds, after watching the lap I can see there are several long corners where the car is capable of going 100 miles an hour through the curve, and I am taking them at 80 miles an hour. It's hard to believe how much grip this car has with the sport cup two tires. I had previously driven my 14 stingray for three years and got used to it, this car has a lot more grip that I'm not taking advantage of yet. My line looks reasonably good, Jim Painter ran an astounding 2:08 there (he's a pro) in his stock C7 Z06 I believe with Hoosier tires. My problem appears to be that I over slow the car coupled with not getting on the throttle soon enough mid corner throughout the track. I will try to post the video to YouTube, I've never done that before, and then add a link here. Perhaps the track experts on here can chime in on my many mistakes, LOL!! I am always open to learning how to be better. While I want to get faster, my main goal is to go home in one piece and not wreck the car. Here is a picture of my brand-new featherlight open aluminum trailer, I know the sickness is now complete, LOL.....
added full session video, I need lots of help lol...
