I can appreciate the skepticism as we shouldn't be 100% convinced until the rubber hits the road in owner's hands. However, it's a two way street: someone can have faith in a manufacturer to make improvements. I'm going out on a limb and say they've got any issues licked, considering the R&D that has gone into the 2016 ZL1 Camaro that runs the LT4. Apparently a car rag beat on that one as long as they possibly could and could not overheat it. Tons of coolers and a nice front fascia that lets a lot of cool air in. Judging by the new fascia on this new Corvette, and possibly some extra coolers tucked away throughout, I'd say this one will help get past the overheating issue.
Otherwise, it'll be silly to see big wings reserved for hardcore track cars that can do lap after lap and the new Vette can still only do a few.

I hope this car won't be a failure like the z06, which is slow on high speeds. *uck that rice huge wing, which will kill the acceleration. They already have a track car - the z06. Whats the point of another one? This zr1 must be just like the previous: for the straight line!!!
Btw, what about the active aero?

Tadge has already discussed once that the exposure behind the front tires is an aero related design. I can't recall where I read him say it but it stuck with me as an interesting fact. There are a dozen ways to avoid rock chips. Stage 2 aero sills and some Suntek on the rear quarter panel work just splendidly for me.
If I were GM and reading this forum, I'd think most people here were batshit crazy. On one hand, Corvette owners want the pinnacle in performance numbers. So GM starts building a car to achieve that goal and puts together whatever this ZR1 is. Then the owners are bothered that all the implementations to get said performance goals either look too track oriented or hinder placement of their golf clubs in the back hatch. If you want a fast car to get to the golf course, get a Stingray. If you want a track beast, get a ZR1. If you want some element of both, get a Z06.

Z working well!? (New comprehensive video!) ;)
Tighter than the 1LE!
The slow street version has normal exhaust pipes. That IMO is making a statement!

Ya notice one of the cars has a VP Racing Fuels sticker on the driver side rear diffuser? And it was the version without exhaust redirectors.
So ala the Demon, can we expect two tunes available?

It's the same car as the one with the redirectors, it had the VP racing sticker then it got changed to the ring sticker.

How many want that to be the LT4!?
How about the A10 holding its R's up. The exhaust and air cleaner are opened up. The cars handling is allowing all those R's.
All that and the LT4 hangs in there?! It would best finally validate this Corvette!

Am I the only C7 Z06 owner on this forum that loves my car 100%. This is coming from a guy who will be tracking his car and understands that my car may overheat.
Based on all parameters the Vette engineers had to face, they have given us an amazing car.
ZR1 maybe faster and better. That will not push me to upgrade. I cannot find another car under $100k that gives me what the Vette offers all in.
