Want a new red!
Have had 2 vettes, both Crystal Red. Sat down to order a new zo6 in 2016
Only to find that C R had been replaced by Long Beach red. L B R is too dark and Torch Red too bright, even looks pink in bright sunlight. When are we going to get something in between? I liked the old Monterey red.
Thanks.

Torch Red does NOT look pink! Spend the money getting your eyes fixed instead of looking for new cars.

I've never seen a hint of pink in a Torch red, if anything, I see a hint of orange. As to the dark reds, over the years my favorite has been Magnetic Red II. It really pops in the sun and is not too dark.

Buy the Torch Red and get the car wrapped. Way cheaper than repainting.. It will protect the car and can always be removed if you decide to sell or change your mind and end up liking the original color.

I had a vette coupe, an 05, in Precision Red. I like that color best of all the reds.

I dont see that happening. And for the premium paid for european cars for custom colors you can get the same results today on any car cheaper but going to your favorite body shop.
IMHO the dark reds are BUICK colors!!!!!!!!!

Ooooh! Ooooh! I am SOOOO offended!!! I DO NOT own a Buick! Love my LBR but....
Why not give up on the ordinary reds and go for a stunning unusual color befitting a special car like the Z06---Black Rose Metallic. Some will pooh-pooh it for being purple, but if it had been around in 2016 that's what I would have gotten. Although I am spoiled by having seen it on the C4 ZR-1s for a couple of years. It looked great. Each to their own on colors! --Bob

Sacrilege! Paint formulation was perfected with the invention of Torch Red. All Corvettes are Torch Red unless painted otherwise.
And if anything you could say it has too much orange (which I'd still dispute likely) but pink? Pink? I don't think so.
I'm about to undertake a full frame-off on a 1969 Pontiac that is Matador Red, and I don't like Matador Red, was going to paint it Torch Red! But that'd be actual sacrilege... so I'm "stuck" with Matador Red.

^^^ I have to agree w/the posters above. I've never seen anything close to pink in the Torch Red.
