Requested pics of new trailer with car on it
It was requested that I share more pics of the car loaded on the new featherlite trailer so here you go. I am going to the NCM tomorrow, rain is in forecast, praying that it misses us or at least doesn't rain all day.
you gotta be careful and not turn your steering wheel when you are on this as the mounting rails are sharp and cut into my pilot sport cup 2's. Stupid design to have them right where the tires are, ask me how I know...

We had similar rigs. Both the F150 and open trailer have since been traded in though.
It was so much easier to load the car and strap it down, miss it at times.

OP, what do you mean by mounting rails? I've not had any issues.

yes that was my stupid mistake, I tried to turn the steering wheel too much when I was up on the airline track and it dug into the front Tires, turned out it was not as bad as I thought, was able to run on them on the track for two days without issue. I do love the trailer. Both fenders do it in fact pop off very easy so you can open either door.

^^^Yeah, that's the previous 3110 model. I had one of those as well but as you can see it's a super tight fit. The 3182 is ~3" wider and it doesn't have those side rails sticking up like the 3110 does. I had the wheel turned slightly when loading on the 3110 and ripped the sidewall out of the tire where the side rail slopes up.
Another benefit to not having the side tail is that it's easier to get the T-hooks in to the chassis. You don't need to reach over the side rail and under the carbon fiber side skirts on the car.

I know this has been answered multiple times before, but what is the minimum width (and preferred width) of the trailer for a Z06? I seem to remember 81", but I am not sure.

If I was towing with a 1/2 ton personally I would tow with a Ford as well. We had one and the thing worked really well. Better than the GMC that replaced it. Both were really nice trucks.

I've got an old 2013 F-150 with the EcoBoost 3.5L Twin Turbo engine. It has quite a lot of torque lower in the rpm range than the other engines in the F-150, or I believe the engines in the other manufacturer's trucks. Here were the other Ford engines available when I got mine, and you can see torque comes on at a much lower rpm which is great for towing:
The 2017 EcoBoost has 10 more hp and 50 lb-ft more torque than mine does, and in 2018 they will have the 10-speed transmission.
The F-150 is a very nice tow vehicle!! My enclosed trailer with my car in it weighs around 6500-6700 lbs, and my truck pulls it great. I haven't been through the mountains out west, but when I go to track events at Bowling Green it tows over the Appalachians with no problem at all.
.
3.5L EcoBoost/ 6-Speed Automatic (left) 365 hp @ 5,000 rpm 420 lb.-ft. torque @ 2,500 rpm
6.2L V8/6-Speed Automatic5 (right) 411 hp @ 5,500 rpm 434 lb.-ft. torque @ 4,500 rpm
3.7L V6/6-Speed Automatic (left) 302 hp @ 6,500 rpm 278 lb.-ft. torque @ 4,000 rpm
5.0L V8/6-Speed Automatic (right) 360 hp @ 5,500 rpm 380 lb.-ft. torque @ 4,250 rpm
