Estimate ZR1 pricing

Estimate ZR1 pricing
if the ZR1 actually happens, what would be the estimate price difference between a z06 and zr1?
What was the difference on c6's?
just wanting to know if it would be out of my price range...
Thanks

Bigger blower: GM cost $200 over 1.7L, Customer $2K
Forged internals: GM cost $2k over Z06, customer $6k
Cooling Z06 should have had, should be free. But, customer 5k
Wing, 4K
Upcharge for low production hood, 2K
Z07 package standard equipment.
No need for beefed up transmissions (in GMs eyes) because the torque management will be the same.
So 1LZ, 107K is my guess.
Unless they add carbon fiber wheels.
Forgot the Comp Seats, so add 2.5K
And the side skirt/splitter, so another 3-4K
And then there's the sticker package, another bazillion.

Would not buy the first year productions, I'll wait until all the kink worked out.

+ $20,000 over the base price of a C7Z06.

Wait for Tadge to make the statement - "If you could afford the C6 ZR1 you can afford the C7 ZR1." I really don't think they will price it too high. They have to make it affordable to those that have a Z06 and want to upgrade. If its priced too high they won't move enough cars to make it a profitable and they will sit on dealers lots.

Funny story about Callaway 757 package.. I was at a dyno day and a guy brought a C7 Z06 with the Callaway 757 package and he put it on the dyno. He was really pissed when it only made 584whp. I think he said he spent $17,000 on it.

well, C6 ZR1 fully decked out was right @ $135,000 - so believe the C7 ZR1 will be priced somewhere around that price point

Now if it's a wildly different powertrain (blown DOHC) or something, I can see that. But GM has a pretty good reputation. The only real problem with our cars is cooling, right? Otherwise they got it right out of the gate. And that didn't get better second year anyway...
I think adding up expected prices is likely backwards. I'd bet GM's question is "What will the next segment up the market bear", and they'll say $135,000 and work backwards from there what they can put in it!

I also believe the nose cap of the ZR1 will be adapted to the Z06 in order to defray the cost of tooling for the ZR1. Typicaly the Z cars, and GS, share the same nose piece. Of course this assumes that from the bulk head forward, the dimensions are the same. I would be happy with 650/650, and the ZR1 nose cap with bullet proof cooling, but I would settle for the ZR1.

You think they need years of production to sort out a wing and some vents? It's hardly a new car, it's just a model revision of the Z06.

Im thinking your all to low, this car will be base price around 130k and loaded up over 150k and then the big sticker bump all the dealers will be trying to get, im willing to bet that someone that pays full sticker and bump will be paying $175k
