Anyone change out the M7 transmission fluid?

Not necessary. If you like giving yourself car chores, go for it. Otherwise it's a pointless task on a new car. If your transmission is seeing high temps with track use then perhaps earlier changes can be beneficial.

I also noticed after changing all the fluids that the M7 transmission shifted allot smoother. Like I said in my previous post, = cheap insurance.

I run Amsoil. Track tested. Works better than stock at the limit. I had issues getting into second gear on track with the stock fluid after a single track day. Amsoil is on day 3 with no issues.

Last summer got to meet up with a old friend that works for Tremec. I explained my car has 25k and many hard miles on the track. He said to change it now and every 25k. He suggested Mobil 1 ATF. Yup we will add that to the prep list before the first track event coming up. If i wasn't tracking the car i would stick to GM's exact recommendations only.
We change our rear gear oil every spring and use GM suggested fluids as with the fully warrantied engine that is at WOT allot !!

you could put 100k miles on your corvette without ever changing the auto trans, manual trans, or rear diff fluid (except for the low fill issue) and never notice a single difference.
I changed my trans and diff fluids at 500 miles as always. After all, the insides of the drivetrain need to be as clean as the paint on the body, I am sure some would clay bar their rear end gears if they could.

I'm relatively new to this forum so needless to say I was surprised by the amount of pressure some people are able to generate in their rectums when it comes to their Vette. Don't get me wrong, I am all about proper maintenance and taking great care of my ZO6 but I can go out and drive it and not need to immediately take the wheels off and pick the debris out of the tire tread!
