Default Very hot red head showed up in my driveway

Yesterday Mike with Intercity Lines dropped her off to come live with me.

Backing into the Cul-de-sac

Love this sign

All snuggle up for the ride down from New Jersey to Florida

My first look at her with all the ground effects and spoilers

Standing there staring with my mouth open........

Nice rear end

Pointed in the right direction!

The "Girls" with a combined 1015 horsepower, can develop quite a temper tantrum if they don't get their way.

I need to prep the car as everything is as from the factory, nothing was touched (all plastic protection still on). I have to use my lifting pucks I ordered to previously from site to fasten in place all the plastic cooling air ducts to the suspension components underneath.
I also pre-ordered front and rear ASC Carbon Flash Splash Guards which will be my first project, they match up perfectly with the skirts.

And look who brought mine. Excellent delivery experience! Always kept me informed along the way.

Red one is mine. Not sure who got the other. It had to be moved out to get mine out.

Very humid, wet day so my car had moisture on it but in perfect condition.

I live in South Florida, back in 2000, I had a WS6 Ram Air Pontiac and it was painful at times stuck in traffic (daily driver) with the 6-spd, so this time I went with the A8 even though it won't be a daily driver. I plan on doing some longer distance cruising in a couple of years, so I wanted the automatic, so I can concentrate on the scenery and finding my way when I'm lost in new places I plan to visit. My little 64' which has the first year Muncie M20 4-spd which gives me a wonderful time going through the gears with the 365 hp L76 providing the motive force while I occasionally drift through corners because of the non-existant grip, my original bias ply tires provide.

Now the fiery "red head" is a whole 'nother thing, I briefly explored the launch capabilities last night and I'm normally a one handed driver as I steer, that might not be such a good practice with the Z06. My daughter in-law commented as she grabbed the hand hold, that she has a bit of a temper!

Kerbeck recommended Plycar and Exotic car transport, it was a member of this forum that suggested I look at Intercity as they are a contributing adveritzer here on the forum. I went to the Intercity Lines site and there's 2 YouTubes on the page with Jay Leno & Wayne Carini saying they wouldn't use anybody else, that swayed my descision and it was a done deal.

Mike called me everyday, on Wednesday it was bad news, he was 3/4 of a mile from the fireball that erupted on I-95 and killed 5 people. He told me it looked like a cruise missle had detonated. After sitting 2 hours the State Police told him he could waith another 9-10 hours or back up 2 mile to an exit he had previously passed. He backed up but I lost a day, if he had been a minute further down the road I may have lost Mike and the car!

What a shame for the victims but at least Mike and your beautiful car made it though.

Something I wanted to pass on about the key fobs and the car.

Mike got the straps off the tires, layed a big soft towel over the drivers side window opening and climbed in. He went to start the car to back out onto the ramp. The car wouldn't start, he yelled out to me the screen showed no key fob detected. I asked, do you have them? He replied they're both in my hands. He then said he had just started my car and off loaded it in Miami so he could get the Ferrari off loaded that was in front off my Z06. I don't know what why I said this, but I told him to hold the key fobs outside of the car through the window for a minute. I then said bring them back in and try to start it again. The engine quickly roared to life. He asked me "how did you know to do that? I told him being that I built the engine and was at the factory for 3 days while she was being built, we developed an emotional attachment I think I may have read that somewhere and it must have stuck in the cobwebs of my mind.
