your comment on the Corvette being 1/3 the insurance rate of the GTR is interesting. I traded my 2013 GTR on a new Z06 last Spring. The Corvette is about 20% higher than the GTR was. When I questioned my agent he said ithe Corvette was rated higher because it was more expensive to repair because it's a composite material, not steel or aluminum. Go figure, but the Corvette is higher. I pay about $450 for 6 months with State Farm for my Z06.

The answer to your question is yes, it will go up no matter how old you are or where you live. It's a street legal race car

Good info, as I am currently in my renewal period... Liberty Mutual went from 2900 t0 3650 for 2-cars, one a ford sedan and the other, the Z. I have a perfect driving record... wife too and I am 51 yo.... my age I don't know still but close to mine lol. Insurance is the biggest ripoff industry but great for investors. I don't use the Z much and my rates are increasing for no apparent reason, that's how insurance works.

MetLife which has bi-weekly payroll deduction through my work which gives me a discount on my 2017 Z06 which ends up being $768 per year, the car is not a daily driver.

I insure my current C6 with USAA. Asked them for a quote on a C7 stingray and a C7 Z06. I was shocked when they told me the Z06 was $50 LESS than the stingray for a 6 month policy. Same coverages. Asked them to send me the quotes so I could check they got the vehicles right. They did.

My C7Z is cheaper to insure than my '15 ZL1 was by $50/month.

$790 a year, with top tier coverage with Geico. I do have the mileage listed at 5,000 per year. Tried the Hagerty Insurance because I have a 1967 Mustang insured with them but they wanted $1,400 a year.
