Default New basic list!

  1. GM SC Repair (Thank GSpeed!), and 100 octane tune
  2. LG Hood
  3. A nice old Fat coolent radiator for the A8
  4. Dewitt's new space coolers
This should really put a dent in it!

You lose the brake duct on the Prospeed oil cooler, which is why we have not used it.

I have the Dewitt's radiator, EOC and upgraded SC heat exchanger on my 16 Z06 A8. We are running in the Optima event in Bowling Green, Ky this coming weekend. I should have some good info from that outing. I will post how she does.

In addition, I am working on a new kit that will package two air/oil heat exchangers in the same area as the A8 or GMPP add on cooler. One cooler for ATF and one for Engine Oil. This design will allow Z06/A8 cars to completely remove the engine oil heat by eliminating the brick cooler and exhausting this heat below the car. The connections for the A8 ATF will be the identical size and location as the factory for plug and play installation.

We may expand this offering with a M7 version, with the 1st section used as an EOC and the 2nd second used for an "add on coolant" heat exchanger.

In both cases the horizontal mounted H.E. is upgraded from 26mm to 46mm thick. Minor plastic trimming will be required to allow for this increase in thickness. I expect to release this design sometime in July so it will be just in time for those hot summer days.

I like this idea! Any plans on testing with a single oil cooler in that location? Is the water leaving the block at the stock oil cooler location that hot? I would have guessed it was relatively cold compared to at the thermostat? Just wondering if the added oil cooling from two oil coolers wouldn't be more benifical?...

Got to tell you I'm really excited about your possible solution to the A8 running hot on the road course Tom. Please keep us all up-to-date as much as possible. Oh, and lots of pix!

How come outside suppliers can come up with solutions to fix the heat problems yet old GM with its multitude of engineers can't get it right ? What ever happened to that GM slogan "the Mark of Excellence" and those little square stickers they used to put on the cars ? Oh yeah they removed them.

Tom,

Whatever happened to this project? There is definitely a market for this, and as C7 Z06 become more prevalent in the used market, folks that track cars will buy them and just look to upgrade the cooling. The LG Motorsports set up is great, but a little too involved (IMHO).

I'm glad you asked....#1 because it shows somebody other than me thought it was a good idea. #2 and it's back on again.

We had some issues with the first design passing burst tests and the project got tabled. New tooling is required to create the coolers and that has recently been approved. I know it's been a long time but I'm going to make this a priority this year. The need is still there.

I wish I had a specific date but we have to finish the stamping dies first and then make the plates. Unfortunately we will probably finish it just when this summers heat ends but at least we'll be ready for next season.

Here are some development pics

its the best bang for the buck if configured correctly. But I am scared to get into this topic, as last time I did, since my opinion was different than a vendor's at that time, and neither of us would back down, I lost. PM me and we will talk.

I will give you credit Tom, while you and I had a big debate, it was not you who caused me the pain, it was another vendor who started swinging on me in another thread not even a day later.

I wanted to write this so that you and others knew that I was not complaining about you. Thank you for your assistance to the community and understanding debates will occur and being able to take back in what you dish out, like an adult without throwing a fit to the forum moderators, you are a good man.
