I just did it this past winter for the 3rd time. It is a great road. Love the whole area near Tellico Plains Tn. The Cherohala Skyway is also a great road in the area.

I did it last year several times and had a blast. The sport bikes who were putting there head into the oncoming lanes were making me very very uncomfortable. One guy literally almost killed himself on my car. I was squarely in my lane, he was not.

Awesome ride
did the ride last year on a 2016 Harley road glide. Awesome ride- look forward in doing it in my GS.
need to be carefull, came inches from hitting a bear coming out of one of the twisties!
