A couple of days ago my dealer said they have a TPW for the week of 6/12. I have not heard much of anything different for 18 from 17. Since I have heard so little just wondering what I might have missed. Its a 2LZ Coupe with the A8, White with Red interior. Thanks in advance. Paul ...

Don't forget HD radio as the other big change!

I've read people complaining about the reception quality of FM radio in the C7 compared to other cars. I wonder how the HD radio compares. I've never used it so I don't know what stations are available, etc.

Thanks for your responses. I know the Corvette is coming with the standard painted wheels. Now I am having 2nd thoughts on that and am thinking Chrome. I have bought from West Coast Corvettes several times in the past. I am leaning that way again. I am not a Black Wheel person. Any thoughts on the Aftermarket Chrome Wheels, Thanks again, Paul ...

White with black or chrome wheels looks awesome.
White works well with chrome wheels.
I personally prefer factory oemwheels ..
It's just easier and I would never buy reproductions.
If WCC sells item rims chromed ..then go for it.
There are vendors on here selling some cool black painted oem rims for good pricing as well.
Have one set for cold unde 40 degrees and one for warmer months...
Every six months or change of season...if you enjoy using your corvettes year round...that's a great way to go...
Something about the stock tires cracking when used under 40 degrees..
These cars love cold weather. They make more power..it's fun

Thanks, The All Season tires are to become available this Fall or Winter. These new year around tires ought to be interesting. My dealer told me yesterday that the VIN is 224 and is now bayed. So, I am guessing we are now playing the transportation wait game. It is my understanding that Corvettes delivered to Central Iowa are still sent via truck transport. In the past I have had Corvettes delivered in as little as 4 days or as long as a month.

No, This is an 18, VIN 224. My dealer called me yesterday an says till no invoice. He wonders if the 18's are on hold for a while before actual delivery ...

Interesting. I just ordered an 18 on 6/9. They said the 18's didnt start getting built until 6/5. When did you place your order at the dealer?

I just checked my folder and I have a printout of what I ordered dated 5/11. I know I got the order detail # on 6/9. As to when it was actually picked up by Chevrolet I don't know. I do remember the dealer telling me they had an allotment and it was accepted by Chevrolet the next week. The VIN printout is dated 6/13. I was told today it will be here sometime early next week. I think you are correct in that the 18's first started be built the week of 6/5... It is my understanding that Corvettes ordered and accepted by 6/15 will be built by the plant shutdown time the end of July ...
