7/5/17 - status updated to 3800-Produced.

Got a note from the museum asking when we were going to come get it.

It is starting to get serious!

Also got 3800-PRODUCED this morning. Guessing it was built Monday if the plant was closed for the 4th. Not sure if they get that day off, but I'd think so. Serious indeed.

Did they say you can come right away, or is there a 14 day hold on the car before they can deliver it?

Chevy chat says produced as of 7/3. Got my VIN too. Pretty cool.

They sent me a note and asked when I wanted to pick it up. I reserved pickup for 7/15.

After the car is produced, 3800, the car is put on a QA hold. After the QA hold the car needs to be trucked to the museum.

Estimate is 14 days after it is produced you can pick it up. That is an estimate and it can be sooner. We will see if it comes earlier.

I am making plans for a trip to the museum for pickup on the 15th.

After my build. it took 7 days to get the hood stinger applied.

My guess is yes. With all my reservations made for the pickup it will be very comforting to see the car on the delivery webcam.

Also, so far the dealer has not asked to be paid. Another concern.

I called the museum to get an update since it was several days since it went to 4B00. They said the car was there. I mentioned that I had not paid for it yet and they said that I better get with the dealer. Car is ready to be delivered.

I called McMulken to find out what was up and they overnighted the paperwork to me.

Looks like Saturday will be the pickup day.

Update. Called dealer and they said car was shipped on 7/8. It's currently on a truck heading towards Kansas. Makes me wonder if it will go truck all the way to CA. Toledo is in the other direction. Hopefully that's the case. It could be here really soon!
