Just ordered 2018-Z when should allocation change to 2000?
I just ordered a new 2018 Z convertible, dealer told me he had available allocations (Hope he is right) does status code automatically go to 2000 from 1100 when they place the order if they have an allocation? or does it still take time?

What are you going to do if your car does not have a TPW before the plant shuts down next month?
Wait until Fall before your dealer receives it, after the plant resumes production in around five months?

I'm really surprised that GM even offered a 2018 ordering window prior to the planned plant shut down. Especially considering the stock of existing 2017s on dealer lots.

I just ordered an 18 Z06 on Thursday. How are you tracking your order number? I'm dying over here wondering how to track it with the GM site no longer functioning. Hope we both get ours before the shutdown!!!

enter your name and phone and in the drop down enter check my order status, then just ask what your order status code is, and give them your order # and state of dealer. they were very nice and gave me the code right away.

Once it gets to 2000 (Accepted by GM), it will start moving after TPW... at 3000 it gets built pretty fast, then sits in the rail yard for a week to few weeks...
I feel your pain, been there for my 2017.

I wonder if early MY 2018 Z06 orders will possibly miss out on improvements shared with the ZR1 eg new nose with much better cooling, rear wing/front splitter, which might be a new option package.

I just lost my 2017 Z06 and once I resolve what the insurance company will pay me, perhaps this week, I want order a replacement 2018. If what you suggest were to come to pass, it may be something in which I have an interest.
Thanks.

I would love to see the front bumper from the ZR1 test mules make it's way onto the 2018 Z06, however like everything else, GM is tight lipped. Hopefully we'll know everything needed by August or so prior to the plant reopening.
The only 2018 Z06 I've seen was the Carbon Edition promo literature and outside of the new paint, cosmetically it looked the same as the 2015-2017.
I know there is talk that ZR1 owners will want their cars to look different than the Z06, thus the additional aero, vents, etc., however the same thing can be said about Z06 owners who want to further differentiate from the Grand Sport.
I think with all the documented issues pertaining to the heat soak and cooling issues of the C7Z, any improvements to fix this incorporated into the ZR1 should also make their way into the Z06. Let the cosmetic differentiator be the hood vent for the larger LT5 (?) and other ZR1-specific rear wings, etc. but add the needed additional cooling vents onto the Z06.
