Default Check engine light and reduced power due to altitude?

I'm at Pike's Peak for the Optima event. I towed my car here. When I unloaded it and began driving it. I'm getting a ck eng light and reduced power mode message. What, if anything, should I do about it or not worry about it. I am going to need max power for the event. Any advice is appreciated.
My tow vehicle, a 14 2500 Chev truck with the 6.2 diesel is showing the same thing. It came on when we entered Co.

I'm hoping so. We are out driving now.

I would speak with some of the local people and check with them. Sound like altitude is messing with your O2 sensors. Good Luck

Maybe the service department at the Chevy dealerships in Denver will have run into this, might be worth a call to the service manager? Ask if they've had any example of it and what the solution was?

Thanks everyone. It has acclimated to the new environment. Just had to drive it awhile.

It's turned out to be something else other than thin air. I ran the road rally in limp mode the entire time. It's throwing a code for air intake problem. Any ideas?

P2227=air intake Alex said it was due to the MAP sensor readings on key on/start-up.

Alex the HP Tuners guy thinks that it is due to the altitude vs where the tune was done=Mooresville NC.

Anyway we used my HP Tuners kit and I now know how to clear the codes and even tweek on the tune a bit should I desire to. He also helped the trans shifts= it would nose over very bad when spraying it on the 1-2 shift. He also did the other shifts as well, the car feels much better now when driving it.

Thanks to Alex!
