No shade was meant on the ZO6, he happens to be a fan of the ZO6. The premise was why are they selling so cheap now? Is it because they have peaked? Everyone that wanted one has one? Why? It was a exercise in exploring the reason why I was able to get $14,000 off the MSRP 3 weeks ago. Just asking a question out loud. Hope no one thought "shade" was being cast on our ZO6. Wasn't the point of the thread. The ZO6 is a awesome car. I took the day off tomorrow just to go for a cruise to the shore in the morning and treat my MD wife to lunch (she rescheduled all her patients) just to accompany me for my cruise, she called dibs on driving back though. Lol!!

I'm very proud of my wife's success, but I own the ZO6, and the home we share. But, yes, I'm very, very proud of her, she would say the same for me as well. Apparently you have some reasonable success as well, your on a ZO6 forum for a completely useless toy. At the end of the day anyone on this forum who owns a ZO6 has some reasonable measure of success in their lives, we should all be grateful. A 2 seater nearly $100,000 toy. No ones needs it.

I think dealers have to order before GM builds, so dealers over ordered. ANY 2 seat sports car has a limited market, and I think GM has done a great job of getting P owners and others to come to the GM side. They did that by building and selling a car at the right perf/styling/value. I also think the discounting shows there is still at least some market when cars are kept under $90K or at least sell below that price (and I'm talking Z06 here)

This thread makes no sense.
Peaked at what? The C7 generation is approaching the half life before going into the next generation so technically it has "peaked" however with each generation, the "freshness" remains a bit longer. IE: The C6 widebody still looks good even today. Whereas when during the "peak" of the C6, i think the C5 was way outdated IMO.
Stop listening to your friend because you're building insecurity. Actually it's already too late for that.
Usually when someone talks down on a car you own or about to own, it means they're jealous.

Maserati Granturismo have the same engine as a Ferrari f-430, are painted at the Ferrari factory, although assembled at the "Maserati" plant, but u pay $200,000+ for a Ferrari and the Ferrari appreciates. I think it's all just marketing. The ZO6 smokes most cars, the numbers are world class. Perhaps GM needs to start a new company(like Lexus with Toyota) sell the ZO6 under that name, with that level of performance and style, they could sell it for twice the amount if it wasn't sold at a "chevy" dealer along side a Sonic. Imagine the c8 with a price tag of $130,000 sitting in the showroom, with a $15,000 Sonic. Nissan has the same issue, they practically give away GTR's these days.
Same as with my local Chevrolet dealer sharing his Corvette showroom with Sonic's and Silverado's. There would be no Corvette dealer in town, if it had to stand on Corvettes sales alone.

Turn 12!
they are not selling because gm has raised the price of the car that now it is almost out of the reach of its market that has been buying them since 1953,the common man.as market shrinks,gm still has to mass produce them to make money and they will pile up.simple supply and demand.as older people who have been buying them get to old to want them or drive them, they pile up.you will see sales shrink as the price goes up until they will drop the corvette line like Pontiac.sooner or later everybody that wants or wanted a vette will have 1,new or used, because there are 10s of thousands of low and no mileage ones sitting around in garages and dealers.the plain truth.dont get me wrong,i love my Z,its the best vette I have ever had,but the reality is it will most likely be my last since I am 64 retired and the last 90k car I will ever buy.it almost broke the bank to get this 1 and I am glad I did.bought my first used 62 vette when I was 18 for $200.bought my second used 67 vert when I was 19 for $1900,bought my used 68 vet 2 top big block for 6k.bought my first new vet 1978 for 10k bought my new 84 vette for 22k in 84,bought new 85 vette in 85 for 27k,bought new 2012 GS for 71 in 2012 and bought last Z new in 2016 for 90K.just showing you my point.
