I put on my first cars and coffee get together in my small home town, and it was a BIG hit!!
We had some local folks come out in addition to the invites I put out to some pretty cool cars...
Here's the video of some of the private escorted run we made up the mountain to the gathering. We had a Sheriff in the back and front, who did their best to put their eco boost motors to work on the straights, and had their SUVs leaning pretty good on the turns as well...
It was a BLAST!! Here's a short teaser video I put together so far, there will be more. Most of the cars had multiple cameras on them, and we had 2 drones in the air at strategic positions along the route, as well as a few hand held video cameras getting the drive bys...
YES, I know some of you will tell me to lose the music, but I tried to find songs that fit the ride, and kept the music lower them my exhaust note...
I would kill for roads like that. Thanks for rubbing it in lol.

Thanks, the run and video shoot up the mountain were just some fun extras before the actual cars and coffee, it's certainly not the norm to have the police involved...
The sheriff did keep a pretty good pace, but let's just say it's not the speed I usually drive up that mountain...
I got pulled over by an Illinois State Trooper in a Camaro Z28 a few years ago. That or a Dodge Charger would have made a better police escort, but still great that your Sheriff dept would help out.

We do a Corvettes Cars and Coffee every late May. May I suggest getting a speed shop to host one, they love the business opportunity.

Thanks Buddy, I could not help grinning as we made the 25 mile drive up the mountain that morning, with our trustee escort clearing the way a few different times for us. I could actually see the expression on a few drivers faces as they went by the opposite direction, "WTF" those guys are moving pretty good, and chasing a cop with his lights on!!!
I hear you on the shop thing, but I do all my own work in my little shop now, maybe a dyno day at my tuner's place....
