Default Z06 A8 - Will it break the tires loose..

Z06 A8 - Will it break the tires loose..
I asked this question for the M7. Got some great responses.
The A8, slow roll without the trans down shifting will it break the tires loose like the M7?
And ... will the spin the tires on an upshift?

Thanks

over 500 lbsft of torque at the wheels you wonder if it will break the tires loose? baahaahaa, the car is capable of incinerating the tires if you want

I spin through 4th if it matters at all. Even getting on the interstate and merging in rolling in 3rd or 4th gear it squats and spins then goes.

you may be better off with the m7 if spinning the tires is your goal. this may impress some people who don't have to pay for new rear tires.

Likely best to focus more on controlling the 650hp vehicle. Yah...it'll spin tires which is counter to the goal of going fast, but if you're not keenly capable of controlling it, the tire spinning begets the ditch.

Here is 400 feet of Cup 2 tires with 75 degrees out and A8 in full traction control with two folks and 3/4 tank. Stock 2015 Z06/7 A8.

Dude, the Corvette A8 has 10.24:1 gearing in first. So you mean more like FIVE THOUSAND foot pounds at the wheels.

But there are two, so maybe only 2500 per tire? :-)

I don't get threads like this. Like it's going to turn out that only a manual trans Corvette can spin its tires, so we're all going to trade our faster A8s in for M7s?

The A8 is quicker off the line and will 60' quicker and easier than an M7. I've seen the A8 dig in and launch at the track while my tires just spin and I basically go nowhere. I don't believe the A8 to be faster from a roll or at speed.

It's faster to 60 and faster in the quarter, and faster on the road course, so that's about all the places that matter to me.

"From a roll" means nothing to me, that's not even a real thing as far as I'm concerned.

Either way, they're very close. But if you have to pick a winner, it's the A8.
