Other than that, car has been bullet-proof. No issues, no squeaks, no rattles. Just basic service - oil changes, one set of new tires.

Car is a blast.
Hi OnPoint - unless it's an aggressive leak I probably would never know if a new shock was leaking. What occurred to let you know the shock was leaking?

I have a weird clunking noise only when starting from stop or when i slow down to a stop. I dont feel its steering associated because it happens when im not turning as well as turning under the same conditions.

Also have issues with seat coolers turning off after about 10 mins. The light indicators stay on but the cooling function ceases.

Another issue with the radio system head-unit. It lags and sometimes goes “mute” when i have my phone synced on bluetooth and receive alerts from waze. I tried turning the radio off and on and changing sources etc. Wouldnt come back on for like a day.

Does anyone else experience the car kinda jump when putting it into D or M mode from park? Its as if my foot is on the gas instead of the brake when changing gears.

Default problem with drag tires.

i have a 2019 zo6 and installed a pair of nitto o5r drag radials 315/35/20. 5 minutes out of the shop and the power steering went out and all the warning lights came on. rear axel t/c brakes etc. the only light that didnt come on was the tpms. took it to chevy and they said i had to put the same size on as the stock one. should i get the mickey thompson 335 25 20? has anyone had a problem like this?

My 2019 ZR1 front rim did the same thing I finally figured it out Little Rock’s were getting trapped between the caliper and the wheel not much we can do about this

Yes, I have. The 20" Nitto's wouldn't fit on my Z06. The body actually set down on them. They were way too tall. MT isn't producing the 20" drag radials right now and aren't giving any hope for doing so any time ahead. The taller tires sent your car into fits about the tire size difference. I use factory repros in 19X12 and run the 325-30-19 MT's. The Nitto has a 345-30-19 that is a better street tire, but doesn't hook as well as the MT's.

Hi Mate
what was the reason of the diff being replaced
mine currently once a blue moon displays service rear axle , also have you worked out why it’s displaying worn brakes message with only minimal miles , mine also displays this some times but I have a tone of brakes pad left on my carbon ceramics
cheers

Just got my 2016 ZO6 M7 July 1 (9100 miles on it) and drove it from Miami to the Tampa area. Ambient temps were 95-98, but it drove like a dream! It's my seventh Vette (still have a '93 ZR-1 and '72 hot rod (originally an LS5 454 car; now has a 540 Merlin motor)), and I really didn't think GM could build something as good as this ZO6 turned out to be.. So taut and solid--this beast braked and handled like nothing I'd ever ridden in before. The manual tranny was the best I've ever driven, with its' precise, short throws. The power was there despite the heat, with little tendency for the temps to rise, even getting on it a bit in that hot, humid weather. I bought the M7 because I was well aware of all the problems with the A8, thanks in no small part to this Forum, WHICH HAS BEEN SO VERY, VERY HELPFUL AS A REFERENCE SOURCE IN A MULTITUDE OF WAYS SINCE I PICKED UP THE CAR (it didn't come with an owner's manual, but I've since picked one up). Thanks so much for all your assistance!

Wow, that blows...I have a '16 Z06 Vert and live across the state in Cocoa Beach. Don't drive her much and almost always top down but my A/C works great and Fyi, the seats aren't A/C just ventilated...my BMW 550i had A/C seats and were much better but my Z06 ventilated seats are pretty good I think....when my top is up and the A/C is cranking with internal air the ventilated seats get some cooler air...anyway take care and I hope your AC starts working better.

Just bought my '16 Z06 Vert A8 (it is Z06 not ZO6) 3 weeks ago (3K miles) and drove her across state from Sarasota to Cocoa Beach...and I concur, my AC worked like a champ and the car felt very solid...I have zero complaints...other then I miss the 3.5K Turbo kick of my 750HP 997 TT, but that's not a criticism, just a difference. Fyi, I had the Chevy Performance CAI installed a few days ago...the throttle response is noticeably improved and she comes on quicker for sure...highly recommended and as I plan to keep this one OEM that will be my last mod.

I have spots all over my hood, front bumper and rear hatch found at 150 miles that are under the clear coat. They want to repaint almost 1/2 the car. I am fighting GM for another car. Just want what I paid for not a repainted 2019 Corvette. The selling dealer does not want to help or even cares. The car has been at a Chevrolet dealer for 6 weeks waiting on GM. Just started the lemon law paperwork this week. I have a post on this from the start its amazing the way the selling dealer and GM have been so far.

New cars can be repainted up to 2 or 3 times before even leaving the factory. A repaint isn't the end of the world. You won't even be able to tell if done correctly.

I disagree. If the car is repainted the value drops, If you went to buy a new car and there were two of the same cars on the lot one was repainted and the other had factory paint which one would you buy? I have called dealers and told them I have a 2019 corvette that was repainted and there not even interested in it as a trade. Why would that be? Another thing and key word done correctly. I don't know of a Chevy dealer I would trust to do it correctly. I would be bringing it back time after time and end up with a mess.

Moderators need to remove this post. This person has a Grand Sport not a Z06.

That said, I agree the car should be replaced.

Really, I thought all Corvettes had paint. Now if I said something about the motor I could see such a response. Some of our Grand Sports cost more than your Z06's

This was supposed to be a Z06 only section and thread. If you read the first post by the person who created this thread there were specific instructions to Z06 owner as to the purpose of this thread, but maybe no one cares if this thread has become less useful than its original intent.

Why would someone be so vain that they would get upset over a post that would still be informative to Z06 owners? I read this thread looking for issues and have a Grand Sport, Is a GS owner reading this thread wrong? Am I not worthy because I chose a GS. If Z06 privacy is so important start a Z06 only owners forum and make all members vin's be verified to join. You really need to look at how petty you sound. A new member should be welcome because they obviously have the same passion as you and other members have for the C7 not treated like this. I have a Harley CVO should I not allow non CVO owners to make a post about something that would still pertain to my bike.

2016 Z06 7M w/45k miles

Rear axle nuts worked themselves loose causing a clicking noise. Dealer re-torqued the nuts to spec, but there is still a slight clicking noise when taking off from a stop. Hoping my axles don't need replaced.
