Official Z06 Problem List

2016 Convertible Z: Sometimes the memory seats work sometimes they don't. I'll go out and run errands and shut the car off, open the door and the easy exit works fine for a time or two. Go to the next stop and the easy exit feature doesn't work. Same when I go to start it up: sometimes the seat and steering wheel will move into correct position and sometimes they won't. Haven't had time to take it to the dealer.

2015 A8: vented seats not working properly. They kick on strong and then quickly fade. Dealer claims normal operation but I had a Stingray and those seats cooled great, actually would have to turn them off after a few minutes. Getting a vibration in V4 mode, noise from engine compartment (read here it may be a belt/tensioner issue) and then when it kicks back to V8 the car has a distinctive shudder (torque converter?). Panels behind seats squeak and I have to hit them like Han does the Millenium Falcon to quiet them down LOL....

2015 Z06 M7
Drivers widow would touch B pillar causing door to stick. Dealer fixed.
Clunk in front right tire area when hitting bumps. Dealer replaced Strut didn't resolve. Said they couldn't find the problem. Spent time on Net going to tell them to change out the Sway bar end joints. Car is lowered and believe this is adding to the wear. I pulled wheel off and they do look worn.
Seat memory just sucks. C6 was fine. C7 Stingray was pretty good, Z06 just doesn't care what it does.

2016 A8 Had my exposed carbon fiber top replaced under warranty because of "hazing" in the clearcoat finish. Had to go through quite a bit to get it replaced, but GM finally did. I've owned many cars in my day and I can honestly say my Z06 brings more smiles to my face than any other car I've ever owned.

1) Red seatbelts should've been a factory option in '16.
2) Red paddles should've been a factory option in '16.
3) Gas mileage.....bwahahahahahahah.
4) Dead battery = I was trapped in my car for 3 days and ate my cat to survive. Too soon?

2016 Z06 A8 convertible.
Transmission/differential replaced at around 250 miles. Repaired under warranty with no problems since.
Top creaks during the colder months. Have not tried to get it repaired as the problem is minimal at this time.
UPDATE: Torque converter replaced at about 9,000 miles due to shudder upon acceleration. Threads on right rear axle were found to be stripped during this repair. New axle ordered but CV boot had a pinhole which caused all the grease to "spin" out. Second axle ordered with no problems. Shudder is gone, but ordered the Range AFM disabler to keep the car in V8 mode and hopefully prevent recurrence.

2018 Z06 M7 2LZ 3,200 miles -
Service Parking Brake light, Service Rear Axle warning, and Rear Axle System off message. These started to occur at 700 miles. Overnight it resets and drives fine until it trips during normal highway driving at 90F temps and stopping for gas or something. No codes are set so dealer hasn't been able to diagnose it yet until I bring it in while it is tripped. That was supposed to happen today, but the car decided to behave.
Brake rotors start to wobble. Happens when driving hard in the mountains and they get hot.

If you do or have OWNED a Z06 that experienced more than MINOR issues
Please list year of the car, A8/M7, Z07 package/Stage and your location, Briefly list Issue(s) , if still occuring, dealer resolved ( how many fixes involved) , buyback/ lemoned etc.
Please confine your replies to the Subject. Thanks.

Good, maybe you'll stick to this thread instead of trying to pollute all the others with people praising the car and how much they like it.

I have a 2016 Z06/Z07 M7
I've put thousands of miles on the car, on and off the track
Not a single problem to report and I have some of the faster laps on the Road Course Thread from tracks I've visited/raced.

Power steering died on my new Z06/Z07 with 26 miles on it on Wednesday, it "appears" it was a connector, nothing like the feeling of flying around a corner and suddenly no steering, funny after a dozen Vette's without a warranty visit this one only made it 6 hours. Bryner Chevy repaired it in an hour, they were GREAT

And before you come back with your typical snarky reply, I am "chill". You on the other hand, not so much. You might take note that several "serious" forum members have questioned the purpose of your antics. I wouldn't be surprised if your next move is to exercise your power and ban all that dare challenge you and your authority. This despite the fact that you are starting non-productive threads and stirring the pot as a forum "member", not in your role as a forum "moderator".
You might consider why a number of long standing forum contributors such as myself are challenging you and your motives. It's not just me...

Couple of time overheated on the street. Secondary GM radiator added under warranty. No more temp issue.
Few weeks back had a P1101 error code and lost power during warm day and agressive driving.
AC weak in hot days.

Mine WAS mostly problem free. Hope yours remains in the all good zone. A track day is a terrible thing to waste due to a non functioning vehicle.
