Default **2 for 1* Delivery pics/ Barn finds/Throwback **2/18/18 Mike Furman at Criswell**

~Spring comes early in regards to Corvette ordering. Last week there were zero allocations Nationwide and I had 14 sold orders in the system on Monday and they all got picked up on Tuesday and moved to 3000 status by GM. Those folks placed their order hoping to receive their brand new Corvette as Winter went away...well in 6 weeks there will be 14 very happy new Corvette drivers. I guide everyone thru the whole ordering process and that also includes going over each and every option available so nothing is missed. Many repeat customers won't make a move unless I look at their entire order from A-Z. I even have smaller dealers from thru out North America reach out to me for assistance in ordering their stock as they only get a few per year and want to make sure they have what customers are seeking. That way they can turn their inventory faster.

~This past Tuesday I received the first Corvette truckload of 2019 Corvettes. There was a sign in the window of each 2019 stating "First 2019" All that internal usage sign represents is a separation from 2018 to 2019 so that there is no confusion. It's much easier then tracking vin's on the production floor.

~David B. Of Cape Coral, Florida called me last week as he wanted a 2018 Z06 Carbon 65 Edition #562. I gave him sight unseen trade appraisals on both his 2017 Z06 Sterling Blue Convt and his 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE Cpe. The rest as they say is history. David’s new Z06 Cpe has 7spd manual trans, Z30 Carbon 65 Pkg and 3LZ pkg! Loaded and stunning! Yesterday David received his new Carbon 65 via Plycon Trucking. I could hear his grin thru the phone! David last ordered a 2015 Z06 from me and received one from the first week of production....his next Corvette (yes he is planning that already) will be a 2019 ZR1...stay tuned.

~Scott B. Of Mobile, Alabama reached out to me for a new Corvette and he chose wisely. This new 2017 Stingray Corvette Long Beach Red with Black interior is loaded! Equipped with 2LT Pkg, Magnetic select ride, Red calipers, Black Wheels, Auto trans, Performance Exhaust, Stingray Center Caps, battery protection Pkg and Navigation/PDR. The Fed ex pkgs have been exchanged and Plycar Trucking will be in Scott’s Alabama driveway this weekend!

~David S. Of Moneta, Virginia placed his factory order for a 2019 Stingray corvette Cpe in Arctic White with Adrenaline Red interior. This is his 5th Corvette!! Other features ordered are 2LT Pkg and Auto trans. He and his wife drove up Friday eve and stayed over at a local hotel to come in Saturday for delivery and headed home 227 miles in their brand new Corvette! I had given David a sight unseen trade value on his 7 Series 2013 BMW a few weeks ago so they were in and out in under an hour!

~Barry S. Of Hedgesville, WV was referred in to me by Tony of Tony’s Corvette shop. We spoke at 7:15am and by 9:30am he was in my office to get his 2017 Mercedes appraised and to take delivery of a new 2017 Corvette Z51 Cpe in Black with Yellow calipers. Equipment list on his new Z51 is 2LT Pkg, CF badge Pkg, Magnetic Ride Control, Auto trans, Black Wheels and Nav/PDR. Barry wanted to be out of the dealership by Noon and I had him on his 70 mile journey home by 10:45am!
*In Barry's own words- "Outstanding customer service. I would recommend Mike Furman above any other Corvette salesman I have ever done business with. As the new owner all I can say is WOW to Corvette Mike Furman at Criswell Chevrolet. A fair deal executed professionally. Mike knows the vette and he knows how to treat people. I highly recommend him and Criswell. No other dealer came close in price and service." Barry S. Hedgesville, West Virginia.

~Paul K. Of Gainesville, VA factory ordered his White Z06 from me two years ago and promised he would be back when his twin boys turned 18. So in late December he bought a 2017 Colorado...and the first week of January he ordered a new 2018 Camaro SS 1LE. I guessed Jack's new Camaro would arrive mid Feb and it rolled off the truck on the 15th of Feb. Saturday was Camaro delivery day. I am sure the 45 mile ride home turned into using the full tank of gas I provided them!
In Paul's own words...a very nice note I just received...

"Good evening, Mike -

The smile is still on Jack's face as he is asleep after an amazing day, all thanks to you. I've been extremely fortunate to have had great opportunities that resulted in fantastic experiences over the course of my life, from attending the Naval Academy, flying fighters in the Navy, having Command over operational units defending our country, and success in business. All of those pale in comparison to seeing one's children grow into great young adults with a bright future ahead of them, and the opportunity to give them a better set of opportunities than we had ourselves. Of course, celebrating success feels much more satisfying when we get to share those moments with family and friends.

From my first Corvette two years ago to seeing my boys have the chance to get their dream vehicles you have made the experiences truly memorable and special. Having managed many Sales professionals, I hold you as the Gold Standard, regardless of the field. Your passion, product knowledge, work ethic, and trustworthiness are remarkable and yet, at the end of the day, it is your personal interest and attention making every customer feel like they are THE most important person for the Brand, the Dealership, and you that makes you such a standout. My boys felt the very same way I did when I first took delivery of my '16 Z06, and the experience Jack and Sam had today will stay with them as they pursue their own careers in Sales after graduating college.

I am very fortunate to count you as a friend and I look forward to many more years ahead of sharing our passion for Corvettes, stories of our kids' successes, and, of course, more first-time cold starts on delivery.

All the best,
Paul

(P.S. That 1LE 2SS is an amazing car. While I've been lucky to appreciate what a Z06/Z07 equipped C7 Vette can do, Chevy has another winner on their hands. I'm excited to see what is available in 2 years when it is time to scratch that high-performance itch again for myself!)"

~Sean and Jeff of the Freestate Corvette club stopped by in Sean’s 1963 Corvette Convt....very cool! I always enjoy any Corvette members to swing by especially when they are driving their Corvette!

~The Frank Class Corvette Barn find and throwback section. Post up your favorite pic this week.

Hey Mike. I'll go with the C2 vert with the small lake in the background this week. Great shot. There are plenty others that qualify as well. This thread never disappoints. BTW, cute kids! Have a good one.

Great thread Mike.

Closing in on 4000...

And can't wait to see your first ZR1 to be picked up.

That Sterling blue very Z06 is so unique. What a car.

I'm going with the Shark tied onto the Corvette! If I had seen that driving down the road I would've LMAO! Mixed feelings-seeing the car used that way-but what an unique site!

Kids are cute-do they drive Corvettes today?

The new Paint facility...Marked improvement in many ways. I have received 20 truckloads of new Corvettes since Dec 4th 2017 and the customers are thrilled to say the least.

You will be very pleased. My tell tale sign is when I wax/polish a tint coat...then I can really tell. I've had a few deliveries where customers thought their car was polished...I said nope, it's been cleaned for delivery. They were very pleased to say the least.

My oh my, have Mike and his family come a long way over the years.

So deserving...... As Mike likes to say......”The harder I work, the luckier I get”.

That 2017 Sterling Blue ZO6 Twilight Blue optioned convertible is soooo compelling. Love the Carbon 65 that it was traded in on, but that 2017 vert certainly has to be a one of one.
