While I'm kind of jealous of the Z06, I'm not sure what I'd do with both.
I'm Jealous of this ZL1's Transmission its so smooth! I wish this thing was in my Vette!

Yeah, it is great. I still think it has 2 too many gears, but I like it just about as much as the DCT I had in my M3.

yea I don't mind it at all haha but the gas mileage though I can't believe the vette does better but maybe it's because it's the break in period?

There's no AFM on the ZL1's LT4.

You figure with 10 gears they would avoid a lot of the gas guzzler tax, but it gets more of a tax than the manual. However, it's a great trans.

16.6 in mixed driving. However, I have a hard time staying out of it, as I'm still in the honeymoon stage.

Congrats OP. That is an awesome pair alright!

the ZL1 is really looking proper with that mean front end. the wheels, the hood? it's just so nice. If the Z06/GS weren't out I would have loved to grab one.

Two things i hope GM works on for the 6 Gen and ZL1 in particular,

first, the rear of the ZL1 (or SS for that matter) it's like they stopped at the rear quarters..feels like nothing really changed from gen 5 except that they put that (to me) unattractive 1983 TA wing on it and the taillight design. i'm over it..

Second, is the cluster, I hope they improve it as it's pretty much the same in the Sierra Denali. no reason they can't make almost as nice if not AS NICE as the C7..

Not bad for a Camaro when you're 44yo and could see yourself in one thinking you were over them having them in HS and moved on to Corvettes... they did a really nice job on the 6th Gen and especially the ZL1.. enjoy that badass Camaro.

is there anything you think they could or should do differently inside and/or out on the car when you compare it to the C7? curious since you drive and own both now?

i completely agree with you, originally I wasn't a fan of the camaro until this one came out 😎 Now coming from a C7 the rear could use some flare like the rear duct that the c7 has but it's such a minor complaint and definitely some weight reduction lol the power feels different but it's no slouch fun to drive and solid I would recommend anyone to test drive one 🇺🇸
