Default Tires At Spring Mountain

Can someone confirm what tires they run on the Z06's at Spring Mountain?...Was it the Sport Cups or the Super Sports????

Thanks!

I asked when I was there: They ORDER the cars as Z07 spec with Cup2 tires. They receive the car, remove the Cup2 tires, install MPSS, and store the Cup2s.

When it's time to sell the car, it sells with the original Cup2 tires that came off of it (or a similar one, I guess, I don't know if they earmark them per car or not).

Confirm above post.
super Sport used, Cups removed on delivery to Spring Mountain, put back on the cars when cars are rotated out and sold.

Interesting, when the super sport wear down, they used them for the skid control drills as skid pad drills really wear the tires out.

I asked if they sold any sets of Cup tires and the answer was a polite and quick "no".....

Thanks for the reply all!

That is what I thought when I was there this past March. It's amazing how well the super sports grip and hang on in the corners, I can only imagine how good the cups grab!

Thanks!!

while the ss is absolutely awesome, the cups are in another level with their grip!

Yea the Cup 2 is great, but they last 3 days at the track. I'm hoping MPSS last twice as long. I'll give up some laptime for better wear. I was at Ron Fellows and the MPSS gripped pretty darn good.

I'm running -2 camber front and back with 1/16 toe in. 2016 Z06/7

FWIW, the cup 2's really hook up well on the drag strip/half mile events also....
