Anyone Think the 2019 Z06 Will Get a Refresh?
With all the ZR1 spy shots, videos, etc. does anyone think the Z06 will also get a cosmetic and performance refresh for 2019?
With all the documented cooling issues, I would think if GM solved this with the new ZR1, that the Z06 would also benefit from this engineering. Even if the ZR1 comes with the DOHC or a LT5 twin turbo and is the HP model king, I think the Z06 would definitely benefit from additional cooling and front fascia refresh as long as the extra cooling vents are functional to help cool the LT4, transmission, etc.
Also, I think it would help further separate the Z06 from the Grand Sport cosmetically.

My belief is that the spy shots we have been seeing is a refreshed Z06, not a so-called ZR1.
We have seen photos of convertibles with a low wing, coupes with no wing and no splitter, low wing with splitter and a high wing with a splitter.
I believe those are a base Z06, a level 2 Z06 and a Z07 Z06.
No point in having an additional "track" model with three different versions of aero.

JoesC5,
I would agree with that statement to a degree but this picture that was posted online just doesn't look like it says Z06 even though it is a bit blurry. To me it just makes it seem as if the ZR1 will be more affordable.

I'm still working under the model that we will get a ZR1 and that the Z06 will also get a refresh. I think the ZR1 will be a very limited production model, geared specifically to the track crowd with active aero and top of the line HP, similar to the Viper ACR.
I also think the Z06 will get the cooling improvements, yet maintain the current LT4 power plant. Some of the test mules spotted have Z06 wheels, red calipers, smaller aero and a hood similar to the current Z06.

It seems reasonable they will do a refresh. That way they will sell more 19's.

I bet the 2019 Z06 gets that ZR1 front bumper.

That's an interesting bet because with the C6 models, the GS and Z06 had the similar features as they do now. So I will take on your bet
My bet is Z06 looks the same, minor additional changes to the 2017 cooling though.

I wish the picture above was a little better so we could read what was on the wheel. I can't tell if it says Z06 or ZR1.. Or maybe GM made it so we can't read it..

But yeah even if you zoom on the picture it gets even harder to see but it clearly looks like a "1" at the end.

What if this IS a refreshed ZO6 and the rear engine car is the ZR1... Mind = blown!

Why do you feel that the ZO6 needs a refresh? Plus, what specifically needs a refresh on the ZO6?

I thought I pretty much outlined it in my original post. Mostly a refresh to improve the cooling. Since the ZR1 has a front fascia that apperently helps do just that, I'm wondering if the Z06 will get a similar treatment.

When you have a tough time reading something due to being out of focus, Best way to do it let mind read it. Focus on something else in the pic than glance at it. I can clearly see ZR1. When I try and focus on the blurry pick the 1 starts getting the 0 look to it and the rest goes funky.
