2018 manual z07 for track use
Any of you guys know first hand that the newer Z06 z07 with maunal transmission has the overheating issue fully resolved for heavy road course use in the heat of the southeast? I intend to track the car quite often.

In my opinion it depends on your patience, and if you want to believe all the hype about Overheating. I am technically in the same predicament as you but I would rather wait to see what the ZR1 has to offer before I nose dive into buying a Z06.
If you have your heart set on getting a z06, I say go for it because regardless it's an incredible car and this thread may end up like the others where some have experienced it and others haven't. Goodluck!

Thanks! I'm getting tired of waiting on the ZR1! If it does ever come out it will certainly be a world beater and bullet proof. They wouldn't risk having any overheating issues. Have a good one.

That right there lies my issue, the assumption that when the ZR1 comes out it will be without overheating issues and have most likely better performance than the Z06 might make me uncomfortable with the Z06 purchase especially being closer to a reveal for the ZR1. But like you, I am not leaving the Z06 option out. I am building a mod list as we speak and if I get an amazing deal on the Z06, I would probably take it.

It can still use cooling improvements. Just do some searching on the forum.

I live about 3 hours drive north of you in Charlotte. Have a 15 Z06 with the GMPP Secondary Radiator installed (which is the same radiator the 17s had installed at the factory). Have never come close to over heating. in low 90s temps coolant and oil temps run mid 220s and mid 270s. That is running 20 minute sessions in the Instructor Run Group.
