Default My new 2018 ZO6.....

Hello ZO6 Discussion forum!!

I just recently traded a New 17 1LT Z51 Mag Ride M7 Stingray.....

To a New 18 1LZ M7 ZO6!!!!!

Just getting the feel for the differences and nuisances between each...

The Stingray felt nimble....light....quick....

The ZO6 feels....tight....heavy.....brutish....

Still in the engine break in period on the new ZO6 so I have not been able to give it.....the beans.....the whole enchilada.....so can't wait for that!!

The throttle stutter and lag is pretty noticeable starting out in 1st and Reverse....so hoping a Tony Mamo Ported Throttle Body....maybe Vitesse Throttle Control will help with that!! Have a BMS filter on its way!!!

The paint is way better on my new 18 ZO6 than the 17 Stingray....

Enjoying the Heads Up Display in the ZO6!!!

The Yellow Calipers....could not stand them at 1st....the 1st mod I was gonna do was to powder coat them....but I'm really starting to like them...they are really growing on me!!! Its my own little tribute to the CR7 Yellow Racing Team!!!

Will give more thoughts as the miles go by and definitely give a review of the 500 mile break in run down!!!

Nice but have you checked the gaps yet for possible paint flaws and rubbing issues that these cars are having? Like mine had and many others but got fixed right away under warranty. Check where the top of the front fascia meets the fenders near the headlights, about an inch long area. Also check the rear bumper on each side right behind the tires where the bumper meets the side panels.

Congratulations! Interesting about the throttle response, I've had mine for 5 weeks, and I am very happy with response at tip in. I'm coming from a Porsche that felt like it didn't have a fly wheel, it was so responsive. -hope it gets better.

Nice work! All the Stingrays and Z51 and Grand Sports are helping the Z06. Because once you enter with the Stingray you want to trade up.

I did, that fact has the Z06 holding a very high resale all while you can buy new with a discount they are popular but with only 7k made in 2017 remain in demand.

KKB has then the resale car of the year and used car of the year for 2017. Again very nice! It will hold the dollar better than the stingray

Thank you!! The Stingray was AMAZING....more than I could want....but it's not the ZO6!!! Got an offer and a deal I couldn't refuse so I went for it!!!

Congrats. Report back after your break in period. You are in for a treat. The Stingray is nice and all but the Z sure doesn't feel "heavy" once you unleash the power. Totally different car!! Enjoy

Default Congratulations !!

Good luck with the new Z. I have a 2016 Z and have installed the Tony Mamo throttle body, aFe cold air box, Corsa X pipe and Corsa Extreme mufflers.
A word of caution, at least from my experience. TM throttle body and Vitesse controller don't mix very well. I had the controller before I installed the TM throttle body and once the two were installed together I kept getting a check engine light and the car ran horribly. I removed the Vitesse and all was good. You will like the TM throttle body. It doesn't completely remove the lag, but it is way better than stock !!!

Best of Luck !!

Great looking Z06.
I know exactly where that car wash is, I used to live two minutes away in the Park.

Maybe you should go with red calipers on one side, and, keep the yellow on the other. That’ll give you 2 different looks, and, save you a coupla coins.

Also, hit those marker lights with a can of black plasti-dip.
