I installed the exhaust on Monday and fitted a Borla X pipe today. It sounds so freaking great I keep going out and driving it around the block just to hear it. Like you said... the rev matching downshifts, OMFG

No tune needed for X pipe with secondary cat delete and Magnaflow Comps.
Just an unbelievable sound.

I finally got my Borla X-pipe and the Magnaflow 19236 installed today.
Mine was a major hassle - the left side is basically resting on the lines below it. No matter how I tried to orient the pipe, I just couldn't get it any higher. The right side seems perfect. The right side pipe between the x-pipe and the muffler is about an inch longer then the left. Did anyone else notice that?
I did mess with it long enough to get the tips almost flush with the lower fascia. The two middle tips are perfectly flush, and the outer tips stick out maybe 1/4". Also the 2 middle tips are about 1/4" higher than the outer tips. They form a nice little arch, but still fit nicely in the exit hole in the fascia.
Then after I tightened everything, I went to install the fascia, and the pipes were nearly an inch too high! I had to use some serious spacers at the rear x-pipe bracket and at the exhaust hangers, AND had to insert the muffler hanger in the wide space at the very bottom of the hanger - rather than the hole the hanger was designed for. It was an ordeal for sure...
BUT... the sound is absolutely unreal. with the Borla X-pipe and the Magnaflow, it's an incredibly DEEP throaty rumble. And as mentioned, the rev-matching downshifts are just awesome... Definitely the best $400 I've spent on the car!
Plenty of pics and video to post once I get them downloaded to the laptop...

(the X-pipe install was a piece of cake)

I had the Magnaflows installed to a corsa x pipe with no fitment issues.
Yes the sound is "BEAUTIFUL"!

This may sound dumb and not even sure if this is possible but anyway you had the two mid pipes switched? I feel like they were very similar and was possible to switch them as they werent marked and the directions didn't specify. It just sounds like there were too many adjustments you had to make. I too have the borla x pipe installed and its loud. It actually is making something on my back hatch vibrate inside at a low rpm that I'm trying to figure out where its coming from.

I tried switching them, but they really only go one way so that the pipe tips are angled toward the inside - otherwise they're pointing outwards.

I have the exact same vibration! Driving me nuts, if you find it before I do, post it up! lol
And yeah...it's crazy loud. I'll be uploading before & after vids shortly.

You guys are nuts. I had this exhaust installed with a Corsa xpipe for 2 days before putting the stock back on. It was unbearable. Constant noise. Headaches if driven for more than 15min.

Just posted a step by step "how to" on removing the fascia and stock exhaust.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...al-w-pics.html

I haven't noticed this on any other installs, but mine form a nice little arch. I don't know if they're "supposed" to... but I like it.

Straight down from the top. Got mine nearly perfectly flush.

Maybe you should have asked your husband if he liked it...?
