That hood is fantastic. Definitely like the 3 vents. Dropping to 2 as some people have suggested would look... incomplete, for lack of a better word, in my opinion.

It looks sooo much better in person!!! pictures just dont show how aggressive this makes the car look👍👍 I really wished that I ordered a full carbon hood ($700 more I think)...especially when I'm at a car show. That's my only regret on this hood.

Do you have a pic of the underside of your hood? If it's in the thread already, I apologize. It's a looooooooooong thread with a ton of pics so I missed it if it was. I did see someone asked and the reply was that it looks like the stock hood, but I'd still like to see it (as well as the finished CF underside, though you obviously can't provide that).

It's really not bad at all, it actually looks good, just not as awesome as if it was full glossy carbon. I'll take a pic when I get home from work, unless khoa beats me to it. Lol

This is what I have saved on my phone. Sketelon frame is matte black fiberglass, underside carbon option will have glossy carbon skeleton too. Show car guys that pop their hoods really like it. You won’t see much of it closed. Only behind the raised cowl you can see of the underside when hood is closed.

Khoa,
any update on whether or not this SOLVES the overheating problem ?????

Or if it addresses it by 50-70 % ?

not a definite answer. This does not hurt the under hood temp for sure. My track guys are M7 and run secondary coolers. Haven’t had any issues.

You can clearly see lots of heat escaping the vents at a stop though.

Competition Carbon is the new brand I’m promoting. All of my carbon and fiberglass parts will be under this new brand.

I doubt this will make a substantive difference in track cooling as we already have a fairly large heat extractor, though shared with the fan shroud. Can't hurt though, that's for sure!

I do like the hood but not the vents - the vents look very organic like they're from an animal like the Stingray whereas the rest of the feature detail on the car is mostly sharp and angular. So if was just a cowl and no vents, I'd be more likely. That's just one random opinion of course!

See, I love the organic looking side vents. I think they're very fluid and spaceshipy.

Needs the grill to fill in the huge hole and make it look more "finished". Also, personally, it needs to be painted with just the carbon decal down the middle exposed.

It's my understanding there is a grill available for the big hole. And you can paint it any colour you like. I've thought about painting mine, but I'm paying for the carbon Kevlar so not sure I just want to cover it up with paint.

yes I put grille upon requests. My earlier ones didn’t get any. All of my orders from now on will have grille installed.

Personally I would go with the plain Kevlar option. It's only $603,600.00
