WEAPON-X installs the first 2.9L Whipple on a C7 Z06
We’ve all been waiting on the LT4 dry sump Z blower kit to finish completion! We worked directly with Whipple on the first LT4 wet sump R&D testing, where we’ve conservatively hit 875whp on our Mustang dyno on a stock bottom end and 920whp on a built bottom end.
Until the Z kit is out, we had an opportunity to use one of those LT4 wet sump blowers on a C7 Z06 in the meantime! Collin has been talking to us for awhile about his C7 Z06, having a nasty high HP ZR1 and wanting more out of the C7. He finally had time to make a trip down from Canada to have his C7Z be the first to get this blower
We’ll have a full build thread done shortly, but in the meantime, here are a few pics of the blower product on the car. Shortly, it will have our custom billet valve covers and a few other mods for a stage 1 and upgraded to our X1000 package soon!
Enjoy a few

Ah - this is very cool. Look forward to the build thread.
Ben, what's the difference b/n the wet and dry sump set-ups? PCV routing or something else?
Nicely done, man.

Melting Slicks
Amazing results.... and right in my back yard...
I'm interested in seeing how the stock drivetrain holds up with this setup. Are you beefing anything up behind the engine?

This isn't something most guys can do in their garage, but did I mention we only started on this build 2 days ago? Your resident Corvette sales rep Eddie@WXM aka CorvEddie did the preliminary work test fitting one on our C7 a couple of months ago to get a game plan, our engineer David handled the pulley design and mill program, and our ever so talented fabricator Kevin handled the heavy work making it fit on the car! We created a program to CNC mill the snout on our VF6 and have a custom pulley for the Z06s along with a lot of other odds and ends stuff to adapt it. The hood doesn't need touched, but there is some modification required, with the biggest thing being the wiper cowl area.

Are you going to release a "bolt-on" kit available? If so, when is the kit expected to be available?
I like the fact that the hood does not have to be modified.

A8s have proved to be pretty strong, but like anything, the trans tune is key using the virtual torque model so the shifting is proper. If launching w drag radials, you will want axles in that 8-900whp range.
