Default Katech is claiming over 900 HP on stock Z06 with just E71

Do you guys believe this VIDEO ?

My car is going to have heads/cam/headers/e85/fuelpump/ported blower/ported throttle body !

and I am hoping for the same numbers !

Something does not add up ?

My tuner's dyno sits down below the floor lower in the back so the weight is rear bias.

Never saw a dyno with stability issues and the car waving back and forth like on an ice pond.
The extra long front wheel tie downs are very odd.
I would be careful on that thing.

I've seen it a number of times. Usually the high tq PD blower cars will get a little side to side movement on the hit.

But that seems more than a little plus they have 300 pounds of sand that is in the back adding to the sway. The long tie downs can have movement the proper ones cannot.. Again IMO I be a little careful! I have seen at least 5-6 different dyno shops with my cars.

They're claiming 769 horsepower, not 900.

It really helps if you move the car back a little and the tire has to climb the rollers, from the video it looks like it's directly on top center of the roller. From my experience, this makes it much easier to spin the tires. Not to mention anything with this much torque needs to dyno with drag radials imho.

The waving back and forth was from loss of traction, just as one can experience in real driving.

Note that it was solved when they added even more weight to the back of the car, so it wasn't a stability issue with the dyno. It was a traction issue, which can emerge with any high-powered two-wheel-drive car.

If you watch the other videos it has a lot more done to it than just E71, I don't remember if the blower was ported. But they did do heads and cam.

Yes the Supercharger was ported and a 103 mm Throttle body was added!

Simple thing to do would be to call Katech and ask for a parts list of this build.

They put in a lot of extra weight---300+300 if I heard correctly---to help with traction/stability.

The guy in the video states pretty clearly that the baseline was around 535 RWHP and then by moving to E10, RWHP jumped to over 700! No mention of mods other than switching fuel.

I think it was just inferred that the car has mods.....Seeing how most all 93 octane is actually E10 fuel, they went from 535rwhp stock, to 710 rwhp modded, and then on E71 jumped up to 769.

Pretty typical numbers for a head/cam/E85/ported blower/upper&Lower pulley combo...

Pretty much any head/cam/e85/meth combo will make 740-750.

I've never found Katech to be cagey on numbers or mods, on the contrary they are probably one of the more honest ones around.

Obviously, if there is a "900" number thrown around, it was a calculation from 769 rwhp to flywheel HP via a guess-ta-ment %.

Sorry if viewing this as a single episode was confusing. This build was done across multiple episodes showing all the modifications done to the car. The baseline I was referring to in the video was when the vehicle was stock. Then on E10 with our Stage 4 package (heads, cam, pullies, intake, exhaust, ported supercharger, ported snout, 103mm TB). Then on E71.
