There are good alternatives out there.

Even with Scott Pruitt at the helm I believe the EPA might take issue with retuning the car. I think it would be economically impossible to do with all the red tape involved in altering an already "tested and approved" engine management system which could effect power and subsequently emissions.

However, I could be wrong. I'm still wondering how GM was able to rewrite the ECU calibration for us with 2017 cars that were throwing a P0106 code when driving at speed. They did this in a very short time frame when you consider all the parties involved just within GM.

Or they new about the issue and shipped the cars anyhow and released it as soon as the update was ready. ; ) Similar to, oh, we didn't know the '14s burped oil into the intake. We've never seen that before. BS

Excuse me if I'm wrong but I didn't see where it said Z06. It might be for C7.
The filter looks the same only a different housing. Better power per dollar with a Halltech. This might be more money than a Halltech too.

Cold air intake improves airflow, just as straight pipe exhaust improves airflow over mufflers.

A more efficiently breathing motor does produce more power... but nothing ridiculous.

The ridiculous gains by aftermarket suppliers come from a larger MAF housing that tricks the MAF sensor and pushes more air than the sensor is reading, leaning out the A/F ratio and making more power.

One voids the warranty, one doesn't (despite claims otherwise).

Not sure what your response has to do with my snarky comment about the clamp. I know what intakes (this is not a cold air unit....no cooler than stock anyhow ) can and can’t do for the car. Been there done that.

My thoughts exactly. Personally, I'd sooner have your filter. I can live w/o the fancy sight glass.

Different plumbing on the Stingray. This one is designed for the Z06 SC.

Considering I just went back to stock on my Z, I don't think I'll run out and buy this.

GM should of done that from the beginning; looks like they were thinking of the AFE CAI when they created it which would of let GM advertise the ease of checking your air filter by just lifting the hood. GM 'maybe' could of made 665 HP (?) with that CAI on the car, that would of sold some more Z's.

Going to be interesting to see a before and after synonymous on an otherwise stock Z06.

Maybe it was already needed and designed for the ZR-1, so they figured they might as well sell it for the Z06 as well.
