Inside information says it will not work. You can't just swap bumpers.

More than likely the Z06 hood would fit. The hood size is sort of set by the engine compartment size and I doubt that changed on the ZR1. More than likely the inner fender wells are the same as the Stingray/Z06/GS as well as the firewall location. That leaves the front and why change that if you don't have to. From the diagrams the added front heat exchangers are mounted in the cheeks so there isn't any reason to move the front of the engine compartment or the to change the front of the hood.

I live in doha it's for both looks and more air to the engine bay.

The Z06 front bumper grill is very restrictive in summer we reach a temperature of 55C.

My car is supercharged and I had the vertical intercooler which caused many problems, I wanted any other bumper with more openings regardless having coolers in the cheeks more air will enter to the engine bay and circulation.

which is extremely high.

I don't think adding the front fenders and bumper will improve things any if you don't add the coolers in the cheeks. Based on the diagram I saw the ZR1 has two coolers in each cheek. One high temp (main engine cooling) and one low temp (intercooler). They don't force any more air through the center of the grille and out through the hood.

I'm all about cooling mods, and I really don't care what you trailer queens think about the looks. Anxious for details about changeable parts to upgrade cooling to ZR1 specs. I'd be surprised that fenders and hood needed to be changed along with cooling mods, and bumper. I would not be surprised if radiator support, bumper reinforcement, etc had to be changed for fitting the outer coolers, etc for cooling.

If you want to make the swap and get all the additional cooling bits I expect that is going to be a big job. Others have already noted the front clip and fenders. The fender liners are different and include a vent for the air to pass through the front cheek cooler.

The ZR1 hood also provides much bigger openings for airflow than the Z06 and if you replace the hood I'm not sure how that will work since the SC is lower in the Z06 and doesn't have the frame to bolt the SC cover that goes with the hood. I suspect you could just buy the SC cover frame and have it sit above the actual metal SC cover in the Z06. Don't forget you also need the different plastic air duct that goes from behind the radiator to the opening in the ZR1 hood.

As far as the cooling bits are concerned, Bill has already noted that each cheek has an engine and supercharger radiator. The ZR1 uses two intercooler pumps and doesn't have the external reservoir. The routing between these 3 intercooler radiators is pretty complicated and was posted in another thread. I have no idea how the engine coolant is routed between the 3 radiators.

Finally, I believe GM said they opened up the bumper support a bit as well for more airflow but trying to retrofit that likely isn't worth the gain.

Bottom line this is going to be a big job and I suspect getting the exposed carbon fiber bits is going to be very difficult for a long time (hood, SC cover, splitter) unless GM or the aftermarket starts making a painted version.

Anyone know if you can use the ZR1 hood only on the Z06? Or are the lines different and would match up - hard to tell in pics

Don't forget to order the big Azz wing and ZR1 badges. Sure that will help the "scraping" by
cooling issues

QUOTE=MSG C5;1596696024]

I'm really disappointed that GM didn't update the 2019 Z06 with similar additional cooling radiators and air vents for the LT4. Z06 owners aren't trying to be ZR1 posers, rather they desire a fix to a well-known issue. GM went cheap during the Z06 introduction using the same front fascia opening dimensions used on the LT1 and that proved to be incorrect. Even if they didn't want to duplicate the ZR1 front fascia, why not extend the mouth opening to be closer to the C7R to allow for the auxiliary coolers to be added? From a pure looks perspective, I still like the Z06 front fascia better.

I agree that aftermarket would be the better option.

I like this concept on the Z06.
