Default LG Twin Coolers

LG Motorsport Twin Coolers look much better in person!! Planning on changing to ZR1 front clip for airflow to radiator. Just removing the extreme heat form supercharger heat exchanger in front of radiator makes a huge difference.

How is the ducting routed behind that?

The inner front wheel well is right behind the HX's and it has a directional vent that directs the air out the wheel well.
Is that what you were asking?

the ruined the ZR1 with that ****, Who in the world would want to do that to a Z06!!! The only thing is the front opening for the side coolers, which looks 10x
from TITK!!

I was looking at the Tikt package. First the site is in German so hard to tell what testing has been done and second it is over 15k at 12,500 euros. Exchange rate is 1.17:1 usd. As of last night.

Tikt does not come with a new bumper just a front fascia part to install into an existing bumper. Kit does look nice tho.

I really like the hood set up myself. If some one made a fully functional hood for the regular LT4/Z06 body lines like it, I'ld be very interested. Maybe for the Whipple as well since that might be in my future.
I looked at the Tikt solution also. I would like to use the LG design with the Tikt CF grill but I do not believe it is possible to order From Tikt just the grill part. The Tikt package is way too expensive compared to LG.

I contacted Tikt and they list the Carbon peice separately for like $4k...but said I had to order thru Katech which they will not sell it by itself which is crap....

On the hood I hope someone comes out like zr1 to work with my 2.9 Whipple

I also didn't like LG look.. it just didn't flow so I went a different route.

I may be biased, but I think the GSpeed front solution looks even better. Not too much, fits the body lines really well, and the carbon matches my APR exposed carbon.

Any of these work really well, the track data shows extreme cooling differences with stacked coolers in the cheeks.

This looks promising. Any more pictures of this setup?

FYI - it's TIKT that will not sell us just the carbon fiber grille bezel. Not our choice. They state they list it on their website for customers who already have the Kuhlsystem and have crashed the car. It wouldn't work without the inner ducts anyways. TIKT says they are working on a version of the grille bezel for stock cars.

Looks like the Geiger intercooler front scoops. Good luck getting info from Drew27!! He has a my 2.9 whipple build thread and I have asked info about the Geiger scoops with no reply. Must be a Top Secret classified build or he just likes teasing us with pictures??

why not just buy a zr1? you're going to swap over the entire nose, then have to paint the doors to match, so essentially you'll have a fake zr1 with paintwork all over. Unless the car is black.

best thing going right here! Best part about it is what you can’t see behind that bumper cover. I’m trying to be good, but I’m breaking one of the commandment right now by coveting thy neighbors goods 😝

negative I already have the kit put together, it's about $15k all together, front fenders forward. The hood alone is $10k! We laid the Z06 hood in the ZR1 CAD model as well as the fenders which I've posted in another thread. The fenders have a completely different contour and so does the hood. The Z06 hood left a big gap and was more sunken down at the nose if I recall. I'm sure I have pics of the CAD file layer somewhere because I was pretty surprised as well. We are in the process of making a 1pc ZR1 hood now for this conversion to drop the cost down to approx $8k for the swap though! I know, I know, here come the "for that price blah blah" lol but for those of you whom have a lot invested in their Z06, it's a lot cheaper than taking the hit and then trying to get your hands on a ZR1 to boot.

Looks better than the ZR1 IMO!

That's cool. Almost worth spending that much to get rid of the silly spats.

Ben has a point, when I looked at the numbers for the amount I would be out of pocket buying a new ZR1 after selling the very tracked Z06 and then tracking the ZR1 it just didn't work for me. Prices are going to drop on the ZR1 (new corvette sales are in a slump) and for a used one that has been tracked a lot for a year or so could be quite a hit. Then I add up all the mods like sway bars, drop spindles, DSC, etc. etc. and I for me it just works best to keep the Z06.

I really would not interested in the fender forward change out just to get rid of the spats, however as more and more of the track guys give in (and warranties run out) and add the cheek coolers there very well could be a market for a front bumper cover that would fit the Z06 and accommodate the cheek coolers like the ZR1 bumper. I do think the GSpeed cut out with the trim piece looks fine and that's the route I am going for now.
