Depends on the longevity of the torque "wrenches" in the machine. Do they calibrate every day? Is a malfunction more probable? I would think so over a person.

Either way, Both come with the same warranty. so does it really matter?

I agree, My 17 has the tag. My point was just that the difference was assembly line human hands vs single set of hands doing entire assembly.

This isn’t correct.

Some engines were made ‘by hand’ at BG in that model year and hence received the builder’s tag on the engine; (mine has one). Other engines were assembled in NY and shipped to BG and didn’t receive the personalized plate.

Okay here is the answer model years 15/16 Z07 engines assembled in BG when everything was ready model year 17 all Z06 engines are assembled in BG.
